@@Dracobyteno, they were two different songs outright. Crab Warden and the boss in Hojo’s lab used a slower version of, “Let The Battle’s Begin!”, the Arsenal and even the air buster, and Crimson Mare all used a version of “Those Who Fight Further”

They need to go this hard on every track. I LOL'd at a comment of what I suspect is a fan of the streamer and not FF7 "Why does all the music in this game sound like a boss battle"

The soundtrack is such a labor of love, and I think this track floats above a field of stand-outs. The way it progresses-- I think the way it comes together as the trees catch fire and you regain control, with the drums and the metal style, may be one of my favorite gaming moments ever.

Phase 3 here a real it sounds like at least a real brass section and real guitars kick in. I could be wrong but it feels more natural than phases 1 and 2. If it’s not real brass they did a helluva job.

Here's the fun part: All of Crab Warden, Abzu, The Arsenal, and Midgardsormr were arranged by the same person, Yoshitaka Suzuki. He uses virtual instruments most of the time so I'm pretty sure these are all virtual instruments.

My soul was transformed when phase 3 kicked in and it hasn’t been the same since and I’m perfectly fine with that.

Phase 3 is easily the best rendition of the battle theme so far. The drums and guitar go absolutely HAM.

Yeah man it sounds epic and when you got the slow motion effect wondering what your next atb use should be. It just hits different.

I was BEYOND HYPED when that phase 3 theme came on! I was like, "FUCK Sephiroth! This snake must be the final boss of the game!".

Literally same, except it was Tifa hanging on for dear life. Got some special synergy attack with a character that wasn't in my party...a mechanic I haven't seen or used since this fight. I'm 40 hours in and still nothing else has been as challenging as this boss.

The base in phase 3 is awesome barely hear it but its there

4:30 is the old “Beta” enemy skill!

Made a save file purposely here so I can replay the fight with ease whenever I want.

Also I love this remix. He’s an easy boss once you know how. But I feel like it properly captures what the Sormr is. Menacing, terrifying. When it kicked in and he used Beta. I was like this guy doesn’t know when to quit. It really invokes a feeling of fear. Obviously if such a beast existed.

Wow! And I thought the main battle theme from Rebirth was good. This is knock out brilliant! The first stage is a really strong straight up remix of the OG battle theme, coming at you harder than the version we hear in Remake. The second phase is an utterly *sublime* escalation of the first, with an epic climax in complete spirit with the original. The last stage just lets loose and goes wild. The musicians involved are clearly talented as fuck!

Phase 3 is very scary when you are in hard mode and unprepared.

I'll be honest. I got slammed the first couple times I tried this boss in hard mode. I literally skipped the chapter and went on to others so I could figure out HM strategy. When it was time to face this boss again... I got killed. 😂 BUT! I did win by a landslide that 2nd time... just with the sound off😅

I would not be surprised if they brought back Tadayoshi Makino for this OST. feels like the Zinogre Theme from MH World.

Man phase 3 or whatever it is ☠️ only lasted like 2 seconds. Tifa limit break then that synergy attack with barret dropped it to like 10% hp. Then I had clouds level 2 limit break and snake dude was staggered and whoosh died right away lol
