How is it I was watching Tactics videos on KZread back in 2007, but this video was never recommended to me until thirteen years later? There weren't even many videos yet.

This is no long war of the lions. this is just Elmdore getting stripped bare, after Ramza saved him from Dycedargs men in Chapter one. Ramza turned rouge and claim the Genji Gear rightfully.

The demon inside the auracite died ages ago due to waiting too long. Elmdor now has free will, but will still wait for his turn forever

I have also stolen all Elmdors equipment for style points. My steal involved Ramza with the Excalibur with Math skill. I used it to protect my knights with speed break and steal. Orlandu came with holy sword and item for back up.

The talk skills were the most under appreciated skills to be used.

Yes, I particularly like the "Mimic Daravon" skill, it can put to sleep multiple opponents, even low faith ones.

Love the FF IX chocobo theme so much!!

My strategy was similar to this, a Ramza with Knight Skills, Guts, duel weilding 2 Defenders, and Weapon Guard is destruction on a nearly Orlandu-esque scale. Yell like crazy, while Speed Breaking them down to 1, and you'll get around 20-40 turns in before they get a chance to do anything. My level was nowhere near this high even and I was unbeatable.

I'm sorry my answer is eleven years late... Speed increases a lot %stealing because Montana is a Monk (which has inherent Punch Art support ability) with Attack UP support ability. This gives an average +2% per speed point.

If you want to steal with efficiency configure your "thief" the same than me : he (or she) must be a monk with Attack UP, because Martial Art and Attack UP each increase the rate of success for stealing.

@@andrewjohn970 I was levelling up very soon in this game because not willing to let my characters stats depends on the jobs I use, I prefer theirs stats depends on best stat jobs. Characters stats growth depends on current job when levelling up, this is for me the poorest feature of this game.

I stole literally every item that was capable of being taken from bosses and special characters. I had a problem.

XD, amazing. Now try level 99 delita in chapter 1, just reduce his attack power with knight and heal the monster always when low hp. But ofcourse you have to spent hours accumilating to 99, fastest way wizard with frog and berserk with reduce attack power in knight skill. 😊

Just occurred to me that you can't ride Chocobos around the world map in Tactics.

I remember being ecstatic when I was able to get just 2 peices off him.

*_*A group of mercenaries verbally abuse an old man, then strip him naked while their leader violently stabs him untill he can no longer moves and colapses*_* That's some deep web stuff going on here... better just move on...

. . . That's insane and . . . a little scary . . . I've never even bothered to use Persuation or even thought to try altering a bosses speed with 2 swords Knight. I had a Dancer with Septiemson and Ribbon stand back and dance to lower his speed so I could rob him easier. This way seems so much easier.

13 years ago I probably crying in despair. Too late!!!!!

And this is why I love FFT, the ability to break the game. Games these days have way to many restrictions.

Just so many ways to win is whats so fun about the game. i turn every single party member into a Dark Knight, yeah i was laid off and had some time on my hands lol. You can play it on your phone and if you finish it once u can get very rare items practically free.

@KuraiMax10 To be more concise, concentrate simply negates the ennemy physical evade. If the ennemi have no physical evade, it is useless.

Ramza a une classe Squire/"Écuyer" lègerement différente des autres personnages génériques. À partir du chapitre 2 il gagne accès à une nouvelle habileté ainsi que la possibilité d'utiliser les boucliers. Au chapitre 4, il gagne accès à encore une nouvelle habileté ainsi qu'à la possilbilté d'utilliser les "Épée de Chevalier". La classe Squire des personnages génériques ne le permettent pas.

Sometimes I wish that the old school game came with all the classes the remake has lol as a edgy teen it drove me crazy that I couldn't be a dark knight and only that bastard Gafgarion had the best attacks lol

No. Zalbag had buyable equipment. The gengi stuff here isn't that great even after I stole it all too. This is more for style points. For example the buyable crystal shield is better than the gengi one IMO. That 15 % magic block over 3 % or so of physical block.

No idea what level is necessary. You can probably do it even at level 1 after a lot of level up/down abuse. What is important is having a sufficient speed, you should be able to get it with leveling up as a ninja and leveling down as a bard. I'm not interested in trying to do it myself.

@@JujuDredd i did that bruh. Level down as bard/dancer then up as ninja or mime or summoner. I got ramza's spd to 50, atk 99 matk 99 hp 999 mp 999 brave 97 faith 97 in chapter 1. I used the level down panel on the desert stage.

you can only do this in the PSX version, perhaps the reason i like it more over the psp one. the preparation for this battle...

Beowulf's Chicken ability makes this easiest even at lower levels

It was not possible in the original version of the game (japanese playstation). We can consider this possibility as a king of bonus for the version I am playing with (US playstation). The War of the Lions versions are closer to the original for several points such as the number of job points required for learing competences.

I'm sorry, I'm showing the equipment and skills of my characters, but I made it too quick. Just pause the video at 0'4'', you can see Ramza is wearing Earyh Clothes. Those both strengthens Earth Elemental attacks and permits absorbing the damage they deal. And, as ones could guess, Earth Slash deals Earth Elemental damage. By the way, my monk is also wearing Earth Clothes. I wonder who is the evil deed who gave him these...

I thought Elmador had Maintenance/Safeguard and thus you couldn't steal from him?

Yes, in all versions of the game but this one Elmdor seems to have innate Maintenance. This video was made with PS1 US version, it won't work with Japanese PS1 or with any language for other platforms.

1:52 even with max levels/JP, interesting to lower bravery to dual wield rend/break speed to stop counters. Remake can't have you steal though there are lots of ways to farm JP, and yeah boosting your speed with a barehanded monk increases steal odds (also monks throw stones early game for more power, which I feel pummel, earth slash/shockwave, first strike and chakra are all you need (revive has 0 height so it almost never works).

from dorter to the woods to the east, in the rare ninjas of the woods encounter, use catch and get infinite knightswords

At level 99 tho lol ?. You made a good use of skills in an orginal way but this way overkill to the max. I did this yesterday with my team at all around around level 30 - 35. Stole everything with Ramza as thief, 1 other thief , Ashley Riot, Balthier, and a 1 Dark Night .
