This is the most comprehensive guide for deep dungeon, well done on this one, very detailed and fairly easy setups. I will say, I've NEVER seen the boss cast snake bite... Not once in 26 years lmao. Amazing.

Thanks so much! This place isn't my favorite and it can require a lot of resetting lol. I just figure make all around guides. So I myself can use this (especially the treasure hunter and exits). And lol same here! The only time I saw it was last year only!

Oh, I will be needing this soon! I'm playing my Reach the Future mod playthrough right now, and I decided to do the original game after it as well. I absolutely loved farming JP in this dungeon by using toads on everyone and going afk 😂

Probably this is the one of the very few parts that I hate of the game (the other being that Rapha roof fight). I hate the darkness mechanic of it. I hate searching for the exits, I hate having to decrease the bravery of my treasure hunter, and while the items are cool by the time you get them the game is technically over, so they are kind of useless by then, and you don't even really need them to finish the game, as the last enemies of the game are not even prepared for your overpowered party (not even Ultima herself). Still, way better implemention than Palace of the Dead in Tactics Ogre 😂. Good guide!!!

The only thing I do differently is use Ramza as the > 10 Brave unit as he can easily get back to 97 later with Scream. Also, he won't leave the party if he is like permanently under the minimum. Great video as always, I enjoy the challenge and rewards of Midlight's Deep, but it can definitely be a pain for new players :D

Ramza is technically the better treasure hunter yeah you are right lol. Like he is an amazing Bard too but man I can't have my guy be that low lol. But nice that totally is the best treasure hunter. Thank you and yeah it can be lol. I just had to show the treasure hunter and exit locations lol

@@J7Jase In theory even if Ramza temporarily has just 10 Brave for Midlight's Deep, you can always equip Reflexes and the best mantle to make up for any reaction/defensive options like Shirihadori or some counter attack as Reflexes isn't based on Bravery :D

Slower speed, base move stat of 3 and his Parasite is too RNG based. And not a lot of damage potential. For those reasons not a high tier monster. There are a few cases where he can be used but there are just better monsters.

I’ve only COMPLETED the game once with a star. As you know, I have found some reason to reset the multiple times I’ve played. I don’t know how the starred Poach items work beside that single finish. Are you able to get the equipment on the finishing file? I always thought you had to start over again for it to be available.

I just copied and pasted this from a source. All the extra items that were introduced in the PSP version gotten from Melee and Rendezvous; the player will unlock these items upon finishing the game in the iOS/Android version. After the credits have finished rolling, the game will auto-save and all the PSP items will appear in the Poachers' Den. So pretty much you can get these items in your current save file once you defeat Ultima. Or if you decide to go into a new game, you can buy them at the Poacher's Den. Hope that makes sense lol

@@J7Jase Yes. I wish I had known that. A few of the times I played, I chose not to grind like I normally do and rush the game because I wanted to unlock those items, thinking it would only be possible through starting a new game after starring. Thank you.

As for the zodiac, you can try to lower the boss's faith so that he doesn't hit so hard with the zodiac, plus cast the shell spell on the characters. Another difficulty here is that he uses the zodiac, but more often he uses another skill that doesn't use MP. In PlayStation One, he calls it Midgar Swarm.

As long as you don't decrease his Faith too much. Why I don't recommend ever casting Atheist on him too. The best combo is still Mana Shield + Manafont at high bravery. AKA MP Switch + Move MP Up. I talk Midgard Somr in another video. If you characters have lower HP where he can finish them off he will opt to use that over Zodiark. Thanks

“MP switch”is the way. as long as you have 1 or more mp you’ll survive with no health damage
