I have to speak out for crossbows. They're excellent for crowd control builds. Use one to hassle the opposition with blind or poison (blind preferred), and use a combination of shield, cloak, and shirahadori to become an untouchable enemy magnet. Other skills are entirely optional. It's definitely not a build for dealing damage, but in my opinion that was never the point of Archers anyway. They were poorly-implemented crowd control and hassling units. Just my two cents anyway. 😃

It is a cool and creative build that is for sure. Maybe if the chance on hit for those crossbows were a lot more reliable and if battles couldn't end that quickly or if crossbows in general just had better weapon damage as a whole.

@@J7Jase You won't hear me say they were implemented well. lol Concentration can mitigate accuracy but yes, they are a class sorely lacking in DPS. Again, not their purpose. And again, implemented badly in light of how straightforward combat becomes, especially later on. I like playing with different styles but the fact is most combat just boils down to hitting hard and fast and an Archer will never really be top tier on that front. Excellent video, by the way. It is nice seeing the class get some love. 😃

Great way to utilize this underrated job. The equipment definitely helps. Great video!

One LV Down/ UP as Bard/Ninja and Archer's become absurdly broken. I use Geomancy as a secondary for them to hit ranged enemies on height that archers can't reach and the GEO hits are landing for 400+. I've actually got a video of hitting +20 charge for 999 with the crossbow.

That makes a huge difference. I think the archer would very much need it. I still say other things are still more OP than it though lol. Aim/Charge 20 would be insane only if it didn't take virtually forever lol

Speaking of ranged Art of War. I've had Art of war on my chemist with a gun and holy cow do I love rend speed.

@@J7Jase very true, I intend to do some deleveling cycles to account for that. I also prefer to target the stats rather than the equipment so the hit rate is much more generous because it's hit% is PA + 50. Enemies are a lot less threatening when their speed is 1.

If they ever remaster, it would be cool to see Ladd become a unique archer. I like how you used him for most of this demonstration.

0:15 I think this is the BEST advice of the whole video! Since it's an early game job, you need to run to Thieft or Ninja, and level UP... Then come back for an "Art of Wars" Build.

That art of war build is great. I didn't know you could use of art of war with Bows. I feel like Archers lend to a more defensive style of playing. Instead of rushing to kill all the monsters you sit back and try to get the high ground to pick away at your enemies as they come towards you.

I don't remember where I got the silver bow, but its attack power is very low, only 5, does it have any special ability? There's nothing in his description that indicates this. Likewise the blood sword, is there anything special about it?

You can buy the weapon so its not that special. The Blood Sword whenever you heal damage with it with your regular attack it will heal you. Just don't use it vs Undead/Zombies because it will heal them and harm you

yea in terms of classes archer is the worst class in the game. at least the others are useful and I dont think theres a class worst than archer. the only time worst than archer would be monsters like goblin, pig, green dragon, and yea lol speaking of still need to do a weak monster challenge when I get the chance lol. might do like lowest class monsters only like no blue or red dragons. was thinking like green dragon, pig, steelhawk bird and then mabe ramza as bard/ time mage. then I was thinking like dragons only. then mabe like squid, bat demon, rev green ghost, and mabe an onion knight to mix things up. what other challenges u think I should do. list me the challenges here mate and I see what i can do when I get the chance. kinda busy with dragon ball legends but yea lol

They aren't that great at all lol. Concentration is pretty nice though and adrenaline Rush is a bit gimmicky and can be decent. For a challenge run maybe a solo class challenge like knights only or something. And no worries whenever you are in the mood for FFT or something lol

I still say I'd rather take literally any other class than Archer. I won't say that they are impossible to win with. But the biggest compliment you had for them was "they can be useful." 😂

Even Adrenaline Rush isn't that great since enemies can do a lot of damage and Concentration while good doesn't compare to things like Dual Wield. The Archer just needs help lol. I know apparently an Archer SSCC has been done in the past. But that requires so much luck and many many resets. With that said yeah archers need help lol

@J7Jase I will say later FFT games didn't do them nearly as dirty. In fact the Vierra have archer subclasses basically that you can smoke the board with. Just not the original Tactics.

@@ransomdekafenya2584 yeah Snipers and Hunters are very strong and even the archers in Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together. (not Reborn) But at least in FFT they win in terms of fashion in my opinion lol

I wish they didn’t make Archers ability Aim so boring and bad…FFTA Archer / Hunter / Sniper was so good 😂 I guess with Arts of War though that’s kinda like FFTA
