It always pissed me off when zidane tranced before he finished stealing.

The trance system was always something I found needlessly tedious. It's a giant pain in the ass whether you're trying to save for the boss or you didn't want to trance because you wanted to steal something. If FFIX is ever remade, I hope they fix it.

I never liked Trance either as a gameplay gimmick or plot device. It was SO unreliable!

@@nicholasmorgan7609 yea, IMO they should just let the bar fill and give us an option to enter Trance when we want to. Most of the time I Trance against randoms rather than in important/ boss fights.

Remember playing this as a kid and never used auto regen or auto potion. No wonder I played this game for so long. Time to start again

Aoto haste plus aoto regan is what I aim for. I practically never have to heal and will recover in minutes.

I beat Quale yesterday and used the same party as you - I chose to put auto reflect on everyone plus reflect-null on Dagger. Fortunately Quale only used water once and that was right at the beginning.

@@MissildineOnline cheers. I'd never really bothered with Quina beyond when s/he was used in the story before. S/he is actually quite powerful now!

Something I picked up on playing this on ps4, quina is a girl. Easy to find out: get lamia's tiara > menu > equip > quina > head gear, you will see lamia's tiara. Lamia's tiara is only able to be equipped by girls: dagger, eiko and quina.

However! Zidane's Protect Girls doesn't work on Quina. I think it's all but confirmed at this point that Qu's actually don't have a binary gender - especially with how often pronouns are changed in regards to them.

@@MissildineOnline maybe playing on both sides of this, quina can be a girl for being able to wear the tiara and non gendered for the world the game is set in as protect girls doesn't work and they reference quina as s/he......besides, quina does have a girly feel to it, imo

I hadn't faced him in years and didn't equip the status abilities I needed when I fought him and had to reset and reiquip. His status effects are his main annoyances and with those covered I just stole his ninja gear and robe of lords and pounded him with Ark' holy and full power thievery.

Did this almost at the beginning of the game. Since frogs respawn I took my time, bcs I wanted to see what would happened if I gathered 100 frogs. Imagine my surprise when I faced this boss and my shock when I beat it on 1st try. From that point on I never changed Quina's weapon and she was basically my nuclear weapon.

Missildine Online! I remember using a team of quina, freya, zidane and eiko, and the only character not doing 9999 damage was zidane outside trance. Freya hits with Dragon crest, quina frog drop, and eiko with holy

@@exeledusprince9165 Zidane should also hit 9999 comfortably if you've been dedicated to stealing, since Thievery damage increases from succesful steals. As for Eiko, I've never seen Holy hit the damage cap, unless the enemies are very low leveled.

Quale..a super boss.??🤣 You're kidding, I played this game around 20 times I never lost to this guy. And btw... Quina is around 5k HP at max level, how come another Qu's HP reach 65k, ahahaha 😂

Also, it's pronounced Qua = KWA / le = LAY, sounds like the way you pronounce the rapper Wale's name but KWA / LAY (the forward slash denotes a syllable)
