I am in between Titan and the next major push and when I finished the fight with Titan I told myself, "I don't see how they're topping that."

It's so funny to me, how in the beginning, Ifrit is moving like a classic monster. Big and somewhat sluggish. And then from fight to fight, he more and more turns into this absolute movement god, who does flips and shit. I absolutely love it. xD

It's a very good way of storytelling, it's showing the player how Clive is mastering Ifrit little by little. So good!

For anyone that played back then. Titan fight had major Asura's Wrath vibes and i love it

Everytime Clive says "Fuck" instead of "By the Founder" you know he is done and has had enough of this shit lmao

The Rider Kick Clive did on Titan Lost was just amazing. I was convinced the bosses wouldn't get better from here onward, but was somehow wrong.

He's certainly a worthy successor to Nobuo Uematsu, that's for damn sure. I'll admit that I was concerned that they wouldn't be able to find a composer for Final Fantasy who could live up to Uematsu's legacy, but Soken has long since proven me wrong, and I'm all too happy to admit it. I'll still be very sad the day Uematsu passes on, as his work was a huge part of my childhood, but at least his legacy will be in good hands with Soken when that day eventually comes (though I hope that day is still a long way off yet).

I'm also a big fan of Sokens work after playing XIV (and now XVI) but I also loved what Hamauzu did with XIII and in 7R.

You know it’s real when the Eikon starts priming. Strangely enough, with all that yellow lighting, its kinda like an AoT transformation.

Pretty sure Platinum Games was in charge for this boss fight. The whole segment of Ifrit running to Titan Lost, reminds me a lot of those segments on Bayonetta and their boss fights with big enemies. And I only thought Platinum games just helped in the game with the QTE stuff. Nice reaction!

Absolutely agreed. Everything in this fight screams Platinum.

"I love how his movement is straight up armored titan" Titan's fought like that since his first game. If anything the Armored Titan drew inspiration from it. Then again all man shaped kaiju sized beasts tend to fight like that.

  • Жыл бұрын

I only mentioned that because the devs themselves said that attack on Titan was an inspiration for this game but you're right. It was just an observation.

@ understandable. From what I've believe from a developer in training point of view. It looks like the AOT inspiration heavily influenced those moments where the bystanders are watching the Eikon fights where as the Godzilla inspiration went to the fights themselves since they are basically Kaiju battles. Though how they handled the Eikons mechanically in terms of their link to Ultima could also be AOT influenced. Edit: I've already learned design philosophy. Its the actual development process I am learning. Thought I'd toss that in.
