People always bring up the junction system as the reason FFVIII is divisive, but back when it came out i never heard anyone talking about that part. The reason people were criticizing it was because it was heavily focused on a love story.

It’s because there’s enough content now that they can compare the game to. Remember FF12? It was one of the most hated FF when it got released. But after FF13, suddenly people hail that game as one of the best FF. Basically, the haters are the loudest. Always

When the game came out, there was no youtube. lol if anything, it's the story, but I think people make the twist a big deal lol

This playthrough was so entertaining to watch. Reminds me of trying to go through FF8 with game magazines open to make sure I don't miss anything.

Something to note with diablos which maybe most people know? Maybe some don't? Idk. I don't have any friends that play 8 like i do. However, the demi spell you can draw from diablos actually works on him, which makes the fight significantly easier. Do it 2 or 3 times, hit him with a limit break and hes toast.

I was 10 when I got FF7 and 12 when I got 8, so it's special to me too! We used to learn to love the games and music CDs we had back then. I think the Lunatic Pandora is pronounced Lunar, Lune-atic, it made more sense to me anyway

FF8 is definitely my favorite game and first Final Fantasy. The edits throughout the run were perfect and a great watch (: congratulations on another platinum!

There should have been a trophy for knocking that spider down on the bridge during the escape. (Note: That is the ONLY spot where you can actually reduce its HP to zero and get a massive amount of AP and a one-time bonus of points for the SeeD exam.)

I have attempted this many times, never figured it out how to beat it.

I started playing FF8 remastered today and when I got Siren it said that 44.7% of players got that. Seriously? not even half of the player base thought to Draw on Elvoret?

I’ve noticed with a lot of remasters there’s a very large percentage of people who never play it, let alone make any significant progress.

Even with your great explanations, I have no idea what the story is in any of these games. But the videos are great so keep 'em coming

It bothers me to no end anyone who doesn't fight Diablos at level 30+. At 30+, Diablos gives flare and holy draws. It's ridiculous but so dang good. Also he is easily crippled by blind. He is succeptible to it.

Because most people who min/max the game never get anywhere near level 30 as it is very suboptimal to do so.

If you plan on doing ff14 the ps4 trophy list has a 6 month time gate on it and have to log in regularly to do it (im currently 3 months away from the plat), If you plan on only doing the ps5 is just a super long grind GL

@@UndeadTNT Thanks for watching the video! To clear it up, in my first video I explained I am not playing FF14. I already played a few thousand hours on PC and not planning on returning. Otherwise it would be just gathering and crafting for the platinum 😅 which is not fun.

oh i recall on the pc steam there was an achievement on beating the game at starting level squall seems that isnt the case on ps5

@@RasnerG PC achievements are way harder 😅

Crisis Core is gonna take like 45 hours. Remake like 55 hours. Rebirth took me 173 hours. Good luck.

8 is nostalgic but weak as it comes between double power house on both sides 6 and 7 and then 9 and 10 were S tier games. 8 was an A

This is the game that I 100% back on PS1 and it took me about 93 hours to do so - unlock everything, get best weapons, kill Omega Weapon etc. etc. It was so long ago - we still had old CRT tvs in our apartment - one in the living room and one really small one in my parents bedroom. Since they were mostly watching larger TV in living room, I played this game on small (like 10 inch) CRT and still managed to do everything that it had to offer to me. I cannot say how much I loved it as my first Final Fantasy game (and how much I love goddamn Eden raid in XIV for giving this game so many cool little references)

@@OmegaEnvych amazing! I remember playing it on the old CRT from my brother. It was so old broken we needed a guitar pick to keep the power button pressed, it would pop out once every while. This game just means so much to me, it's crazy.

I don't know how to describe this game because it's far from perfect yet somehow perfect! Like a B grade movie that's awesome or a band that's not popular but its your favourite, sometimes you can't explain why you love something so much and that its so difrent so unique that you feel like its completely made just for you. I don't think I'll ever love another video game quite like I love FF8 and the fact that people by and large don't and won't ever understand. That to me is .....perfect

Amen, that is FF8 to me as well.

I completed FF8 3x, 1x without killing. The level scaling in this game was annoying. I didn't know about it the first time and I entered lv as quickly as possible because I thought I would be stronger

Final fantasy 14 and 11 is impossible to do.

@@YamiOnKZread back when I played it when it first released, I assumed Dollet, looking like a French town, was pronounced "Doll-ay", like bouquet, bidet, sorbet and beignet. After watching a few FF8 retrospectives, it looks like everyone else pronounces it like wallet, mallet, garnet and puppet, with the hard T. Just a subjective observation.

anyone make everyone fully junctioned so it doesnt matter which party selected on ultimecia battle give likee....

Algorithm do your work.

It’s not just the junction system, it’s also the fact that leveling up makes you weaker due to enemy scaling.
