I have been just wondering why the guests sat on the plastic small stool while having noodles. No chairs at the food place?or is it sort of traditional manner?

Not sure if it's traditional but I think it's always been this way! Down to earth and French culture maybe

Those plastic stools are lightweight and easy to be moved when needed. It’s like a tradition, back there were the days when the street police chased off the small food stores who sold foods on the street (cleanliness, visuality… of the public place)

Hahaha I think they were just way too busy + not enough staff. We did see that as a sign of a good local food shop hahaha 😆

As a Vietnamese, it’s a shame to admit that Vietnam could be more enjoyable if the people stopped throwing garbage everywhere, sold food with hygiene and safety. Unfortunately, this mindset passed down from one generation to the next and it’s deeply rooted in the culture. Sad.
