    I tend to ignore the built-in transitions because of my seriously bad plugin habit but I can see I have been overlooking the obvious (not for the first time in my life!). Great video and thank you for taking the time to make it. Scotland raves about your videos - as always!

    Nice find with the Slide. Flow is okay, but I still prefer mMorphCut. Handles less matchy-matchy shots better.

    Great work Dylan. How do default the cross dissolve to use the ‘film’ option? I like it a lot but hate having to go back and select it every time. Surely there’s a simpler way of fixing this?

    hey Dylan - big fan! A bit of a technical question with the Slide transition. I've been wanting to make my own version of the Slide transition with more pronounced easing (ideally by just tinkering with the Motion template), but I struggled to find the Motion template file for it in the Final Cut Pro application package, motion templates folder, etc. What I did find lacked the controls for changing the slide's direction or slide type (slide in, slide out, push, swap). Any ideas for how to go about this, other than recreating the transition from scratch? Thanks again for what you do!

  • @TaylorGumby

    Hey Brannon! I’m not 100% positive on this, but I believe you can hold Control and click on the transition / effect thumbnail - in the panel showing all the effects / transitions, and there’s an option to “open a copy in Motion” However, it seems the “slide” transition specifically does not have that option. BUT control click on 360* Slide does! So you might be able to gleam what you need from that one!

    I'm working on a slideshow including a nice background. I use "fade to color" transition for fading in and outs, but on the last version of Final Cut Pro, the transition fades out also the background. So everything is to black is there an explaining this? Does anyone else experience this too?

    I wish I had a secret! I’m just winging it 😂 I use affinity photo. I created a preset that I start from that has the same gradient. And from there I just try and make a thumbnail that I’d like to click on. I do have a livestream I did on my patreon, of me creating my thumbnail if you’re interested!

    I need your help bro, how do I add a clickable link reference to another KZread video I did while editing a video in FCP? I can't find anything on KZread, most likely because I don't know what that process is. Can you help?

  • @TaylorGumby

    @TaylorGumby

    5 ай бұрын

    Hey Seth! Clickable links ( like at the end of Dylan’s videos ) are something you add on KZread, after you upload the video. I believe it’s called “End Screen” or “title card”, something along those lines. Dylan usually pre-selects a video of his that he wants to mention at the end of a video, then when he uploads it to youtube, he’ll add that end screen video card on. Hope that helps!

    Thank you. Another real great tutorial. As you are sometimes asking us to suggest other topics, here's one I would be interested in: There's a fold-up transition effect by Benn TK that I really like. If you find the time, I would love to see a tutorial (either Final Cut or Motion) on this. Here's a link to the Davinci Tutorial to demonstrate, what I mean with Fold-up: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eqKNvMuqn5Ccm7w.html Thanks, and greetings from Hamburg, Germany.
