Boy, do I miss watching games commentated by Tom Hammond and Steve "Snapper" Jones(rip) on NBC every Sunday afternoon.

i miss the nba on nbc. They use to show 3 games in one day. Some games at 2 pm on a weekday. They would show Nba inside stuff right before the start of games. When the nba went to abc basketball was never the same. Good times.

Had Ewing not gotten injured in the series against the Pacers, I think this team would have defeated the Spurs in the finals. Robertson and Duncan would have hard a difficult time with him in the paint.

If not for suspension in 1997 they might've faced the Bulls in conference finals instead of the Heat.

The 90's Knicks teams never got that chip but they played with heart and made the playoffs often. If there's one thing I have in common with Jordan is disdain for Isiah Thomas. He and Dolan have been albatrosses for the Knicks.

I miss these day watching the Knicks with my dad rip pops

This is one of the first series I ever watched as a little kid and this still brings back nightmares as a Heat fan.

Knicks will take a decade to have someone like Ewing again 😂

It's called, zone defense. Only from 2001 they changed it. Thus affected the score.

I miss the 90's - 2000 Knicks team. I mean Ewing shoud have won a ring. Eastern Conference was so competitive back then. They faced the Pacers 6 times in the playoffs during that decade (3-3) then the Bulls 5 times (1-4) then the Miami Heat (3-1). Also Ewing and the Knicks, well technically, they should have 4 Finals appearances, their other 2 closest to Finals was against 1993 Bulls and 2000 Pacers.

My dad told me a lot of stories about this game and I finally get to see the actual footage😃

Because Porter caught the ball, turned, dribbled, took two steps and then fired the shot, and the horn didn’t sound until the ball was halfway to the goal. Hue Hollins said the basket would have counted and Van Gundy is furious because he thinks the clock must’ve started late.

The first 8th seed in the NBA History to go in the NBA Finals. Ewing, Houston and Sprewell were good all playoffs long as well as the supporting cast. Too bad the Knicks traded their next Patrick Ewing, Kristaps.

Teams are just all round more offensively talent. There was no zone defence in the 90s yet the games where still low scoring. Stop hating on today’s game
