    She actually has a shell disease if that's what you're referring to the stuff on her claws are actually holes but she's still eating so that's a good sign

    Dont use Prime to neutralize the Chlorine! That can harm your pets in the longrun. Just get purified spring water from the store and mix with salt but your crab doesn't have to be in saltwater it can live in fresh as well. Bless you and little Blue! 🩵

    No RODI unit? Idk seems risky. There’s a time and a place for dechlorinated tap water like topping off water but for full on water changes I like using a RODI unit

    Really depends on the tap water, I could keep shrimp with primed tap water and shrimp were more sensitive than my crab to water conditions. Although, the comments on brackish vs salt water merit consideration. I do not know the care sheet/recs for this species of crab

    You should consider buying RO system and protein skimmer. Also you need to build big refugium for your tank Don't forget to check water parameter too

    *I’ve seen blue crabs 30 miles off the coast of Louisiana just floating on top of the water in 700 feet of water. What are they doing out there? Surly they don’t ever go to the bottom in water that deep.*

    Won't the chlorine evaporate after a day or 2 if you let it sit out if you don't have any of that stuff to neutralize it?

  • @hypanusamericanus9058

    @hypanusamericanus9058

    Letting the tap water sit won't do anything about other harmful dissolved solids, such as heavy metals, which will remain in the water.
