Also, a fun fact from the nerdy party of my brain that's obsessed with Indiana Jones: his bag was actually heavy canvas, not leather. It was a British gas-mask bag called the "Mark Seven". The only change is that the costume designer swapped out the canvas strap for a leather one. But the bag itself is actually made of a similar material to the Finson here.

You rock man! You do the best videos and motivate me to try out a lot of your recommendations. Tried this Filson but keep coming back to my grey Urban Assault 24. Can use my pouches with it very well, zippers are great, but ultimately it just does what i need it to do and it just feels good to look at and use. Just bought this bag. I actually am an angler but this bag is a 'do everything, anywhere' type bag. I looked at the briefcase as well but it has la smaller capacity and would not fit my gym gear in it. This bag is the nuts. Worth the investment.

Heritage sportsman bag 3. Tin cloth backpack 4. 24hr Tin cloth briefcase Yes, they are all very expensive, but definitely worth the price. Great heritage, great design and style. Top quality materials. Lastly handmade in the USA 🇺🇸!!!

Filson’s Tin Cloth is crazy. When I first got the Journeyman I was convinced it wouldn’t last a month under any serious use. I’ve since gotten several other Tin Cloth bags from them. All have held up well. The Journeyman has been out to see on scuba charter boats with me. No problems.

Still one of the great KZread video reviews ever imo; informative and entertaining, just could've been 15 minutes longer it was so good. I was worried though for that bottle of Fernet; in his zeal he almost knocked it off the table.

I got my Filson bag for 23 years now and it's just doing fine. Just had to wash it with hot water and put some new waxing on it last month..otherwise I will take that badboy with me until the day I die

Hi Chase, did you shorten the length of the leather strap or as is? I recently purchased this bag after watching your review and it’s awesome. I also tried the leather strap and it was very long. I heard there were two types of leather strap with different lengths but they are no available on Filson website, hmm....

How’s the leather holding up? Any cracks?

How do this bag differrent from filson 24 hour tin briefcase ?

I've found their tiny, littler tablet briefcase to be the peeeeerfect commuter and everyday bag....its name is deceiving because it holds way beyond tablet size electronic goods. I fit my MacBook 13" Air but you could easily fit a Pro, plus iPad mini, Kindle, notebooks, magazines, etc. biggest downside is it doesn't have as many compartments, but I've hacked it to my liking. And biggest sell for me with the tablet briefcase is that it still has the luggage strap, which is super duper handy with all the work travel I do with my roller.

4-inches wide inside the center pocket. The front pockets are about 2-inches deep on top of that.

Can anyone comment on the interior width of this bag? I have a camera that is 4" wide and a 13" Macbook Pro which is pretty thin. I am hoping these will both fit. Filson's specs show the width is 4" but doesn't mention if that includes the front pockets. Entertaining review, subscribed!

Thanks Chase. I put the camera next to a wine bottle like you had in there and it's about the same size. Also good to know it has dedicated storage space for my cigars and bullets.

I just got this in black after watching your review about 30 times in the last six months. Apparently the latest version has some upgraded brass hardware… Well not apparently, it does, in side-by-side with an old version it really does feel like they made some improvements… But they also raised the price to 395

... anyone know where i can get that pencil/pen bag?
