I know people are suggesting 3 Idiots but its could be a hit or miss. I loved it. I think it works better with Indian/Asian audiences because it's set around the idea of extreme academic pressure from parents in these countries that often lead to suicide and depression. A lot of us have gone through this so it was extremely relatable but also so well made! Maybe it will work for you but just thought I should leave some context.

Well in that case this movie Pk also revolves around religion and fake sadhus and all. That will only work in country like India. If people outside can understand that dirtiness and love it then 3 Idiots will be even better for them. Also lot of foreign reactors hv reacted to it and loved it so much.

Rubbish, I'm a white English guy and 3 idiots is my favourite film of all time.

Rip Sushant he was such a great actor.

just saying, the director of PK Rajkumar Hirani and the director of Andhadhun Shriram Raghavan were Batchmates in Film School where Shriram used to direct shorts and Rajkumar used to edit them.

he doesn't blink even once in this movie

There is another Bollywood movie called Oh My God!! which deals with the same issue but in a different way...its a legal drama-comedy about an atheist who files a case against God when his shops gets destroyed in a storm and the insurance company says it doesn't covers Act Of God...what transpires next is a hilarious legal courtroom story with him deconstructing organised religion

Watch the movie named "kantara", it's highly rated as well.

When this film was made, there wasnt much backlash that was initially expected instead it went onto become superhit and i thought we were finally getting over the organised religion bullshit but few few years have gone by and we as a nation have regressed back into the bullshit of organised religion which pisses me off...this kind of movie cannot be made today sadly, if someone made this movie in 2022 in India we would see death threats to filmmakers, theatres being closed down by protestors and news media circus on how could we even question religion...it seems like people saw the movie and learnt nothing from it instead did the exact opposite thing it asked

But why did it only target Hinduism, making fun of hindu gods targeting only Hindu practices even though india has other major religions too , why only targeting Hindus ? ... Hypocrites like you call pk as champion of social awareness but Kashmir files as islamophobic .... Funny how recommendations work. Your react content is pretty nice and insightful. I feel like you’re missing out on a lot of cultural innuendos which I think you cannot get from reading about the gist of the movies. Little things like Aamir khan(the lead) speaking bhojpuri accent which he learns because of the people he initially meets is considered funny( equivalent to a Kkona country accent in the US or cockney in the UK. ). Your insights if you bridge that cultural gap would be epic I feel.

@@sannnidhya Christian do not believe in one they believe in 3 (father, son and holy ghost).... That's wrong. The actual teaching of Jesus was same as Islam.. He taught to worship only true God, God of Abrahim. Jesus was Muslim and was message of Allah. Can i respectfully ask why are you atheist?...why you don't believe in any God?
