Yeah when you have 3 girls in a class of 40 you start to understand why this happens

Even if you’re one of the girls in eng, you’d still be looking at the young prof, hot TA, or every other guy from campus despite your class being 80% male lol

In my comp sci courses, there were maybe 3 girls in a class of 30. At graduation, I could count 2 girls who graduated with me and I inly knew one of them. You dont go into engineering to get the girls

That guy reminded me of a former classmate/TA that I had. I once asked for his contact (I was NOT trynna flirt!) since we were in the same class a semester ago & he was my then-TA of a lab course. He simply replied “Why?” I froze then brushed it off. He probably found me weird or thought I was trying to flirt with him. Ever since then I felt so embarrassed seeing him in that 3-hours long lab. I still cringe thinking about this😬

A perspective from me, a mechanical engineering student: 1° type of guy: Never happened to me, thank God. 2° type: Yep, that's very accurate and I have a way to get out of it, just be weird and they'll leave. 3° type: Never found 'em, maybe because I'm the shy and antisocial girl? Well, idk. 4° type: NO, Unfortunaly my uni is full with the type number 2, so no. 5° type: NOPE. Just read the 4th and re-read the 2nd type. 6° type: Doesn't have to be international, pretty much half of the guys in my classroom are like that.

My exes new bf is pretty much type 1. Depending on the girl, I was type 1 as well #2 isn’t that weird, its understandable for a guy to not be looking to be friends with a girl he likes. If youre talking about the type that doesnt go away, yeah, thats weird, but only if youre not leading them on 3. They surprisingly are very rare in comp sci 4. I like to think I was number 4. Was a TA, and I consistently had girls coming to my office hours acting semi-flirty. At the same time, most were very confused and hated the prof (and my grading) and wanted me to teach them so you never know. 5. I was a nice guy once. Not proud of this and I think I made amends, but I liked two girls at once. One was already dating someone, but I figured id just wait it out. At the same time, I was leading on, and casually dating the other girl knowing id leave her immediately for the other one. I was the classic nice guy to the other one and I was such an idiot for not realizing what I was doing. I didnt let myself get emotionally close to her, but we did get physically close. I invested in getting emotionally close to the one I couldnt be with. Then, predictably, everything crashed and burned. Ive made amends where theyre due and I know how messed up my actions were 6. Not too many of these (being international) agreed
