When we did our film break down on Jeudy we did NOT cherry pick plays. We went series by series, over the course of two seasons. Jerry Jeudy most certainly can be covered by top coverage LBing as shown in this video. His biggest problem is that he is not consistent. Film showed he would give up on his routs, off and on. He still tends to have a bit of a drop issue, all be it not as bad as his first season. Also, his injury proneness had our channel taking Jefferson over Jeudy in that draft. In defense of Jeudy Russell Wilson's 2022 debut season did not help Jeudy when he was open and should have had the ball thrown to him. Unless you have poor corner play Jeudy is NOT a Jones, T-hill, Tory Holt, Super Duper... he's NOT that guy. What he really is, is a poor man's Sanders slot receiver who needs to build up speed to put those moves on that you see in this video.

I’ve been saying that his since they drafted him . Anyone who watches film can see that he can run every route but can’t consistently get separation in the nfl. Some of it is heart and some of it is ability .

@@Xrobberyx I think it’s attention to detail? But JJ doesn’t seem to like criticism. On that route vs the LB, he needed to run up, close the space between him and the LB, and force the LB to back up. Than sell the out route, put ur foot in the ground and run the go. Idk the name for that route, but it’s kinda like a sluggo.

Jeudy ran 4.46 at 6"1 195 so that's more than acceptable speed for his size. Jordan Addison ran 4.49 at 6"0 175

I thought he had like 5 yard of separate on route run last year which was really really good. I think QB play and injury has hurt him. Even just the first clip you showed, that was a terrible throw by Wilson, who I think is a shell of himself and could really use a Sean Payton boost this year, it was only a highlight cuz he caught it. 9 out of 10 that was gonna get batted down and not show up on the stat sheet when a half way decent throw would result in a 40 yard TD. He has a 67% catch rate and that's really good. With good QB play and good coaching and some good health, he can be a Ceedee Lamb no doubt.

It helps if you have a quarterback getting you the ball properly. Getting him now is perfect timing, he's now been in the league a few years, knows the deal, and can just ball out now. Yes, the browns overpaid, but who cares?? Fans act like it's their money, they can spend all the money they want, I certainly don't care. I think it's going to make a lot of people eat their words.
