@@rackembarryThey really don’t. They have countdown, embedded, the weigh in show, ceremonial weigh ins, all the media they do with the fighters, and press conferences. They had a seasonal press conference for this back in December. They do way more promotion then any other mma organization.

Same thing happened to Henry against DJ but he stayed calm and it eventually comes back. Sean couldn't even make it to the end of the round and Chito came into his guard which was the ideal scenario in that situation but he still couldn't break posture or tie chito up at all and got TKO'd immediately. A legit loss fair and square.

@@JDRusse11 I think it prolly never crossed his mind. Everything is happening so much faster when you're in there and I can almost guarantee they did the most minimal if any wrestling drills for that fight camp.

ya its funny because people pick and choose which injuries in fights cause lucky wins and which are legit wins. Since its Sean, chito won by fluke. Had Sean switched off someone's leg in a fight and started raining down elbows, nobody would be disputing it.

Otherwise we could call everything luck, like a kick that barely goes through the guard. Chito threw a kick to hurt O Malley, and it hurt O Malley more than expected, thats it. Legit finish.

I can’t recall another fighter, needing a stretcher due to a calf kick 😂

Long story short UFC fans are toxic and have little loyalty. Most of them probably can't run a mile much less get in the octagon with these guys. It's like Mike Tyson said that one time about social media making people comfortable saying whatever without getting punched. Loved seeing the two re watch the first fight, there are so many unanswered questions in the first one if Sean’s nerve didn’t get hurt, the fight was only getting started, it would have been much more competitive if not for the sudden injury. Hopefully Chito vs Sugar Sean 2 will give us a definitive winner Saturday night at UFC 299.

At 1:56 Sean was definitely out for a second right before Herb stepped in, you can see his arms drop to his sides, back almost flattens out and he's staring at the sky, he was about 1-2 away from sleep time.

I watched this fight live, and I feel like I noticed his drop foot before the announcers did.

This was a far different scenario. Even Blaydes said he did nothing to cause Aspinall's injury. Chito caused the damage to Sean & its happened to other fighters like Henry who were able to fight through it. Instead O'Malley had Chito in his full guard which ideally was the best place for O'Malley to give the leg time to come back, and instead he did absolutely nothing right on the ground at all, didn't control posture, nothing and got put out cold with vicious GnP.

With sean being champ, I’m not sure what’s to gain with still denying the reality of what happened. He is only selling himself short in the long run. When things really start to go bad and he faces more adversity he will not be mentally ready to roll with it, since he is still denying things like this. You have accept what happened and learn from it.

But why did you take that elbow tho? when you were on your back, the nerve problem was irrelevant! Chito should bring this up to him. You should know how to defend yourself when you're on your back, and Chito didn't even mount you or pass your guard, yet he knocked you out from the first strike.

Chito fans (aka suga haters) are something else! They, conveniently and opportunistically, milk an outcome while disregarding its respective context in order to deceive themselves and reinforce the fantasies that constitute their minds. The truth of the matter is that Omalley dominated Chito right until Omalleys leg completely gave out and he fell backwards. Additionally, the injury was caused by an unsuccessful leg kick. Omalley dodged the kick backwards and Chito’s big toe hit thats nerve by accident. An absolute FLUKE. Finally, the fight was stopped EXTREMELY early!

Sean is a great fighter, but Chito is a warrior. It will be a great fight, but Chito takes it in the late 4th early 5th.

Chito, all you gotta do is slowly kick the legs for 5 rounds... then book an immediate rematch and you will ko sean in the 3rd fight.

People just like Sean keep making excuses saying oh it was a freak injury. Explain how Henry was able to come back from it and continue to fight. Explain how when Chito was in O'Malley's full guard which ideally was the best place for Sean to give his leg a chance to come back, he did nothing right at all. He didn’t control posture, nothing. He just elbowed into the shadow realm.

Remember O’malleys bjj was highly praised it just didn’t exist in this fight 😆
