He doesn't try to do too much, we need guys that know their assignments and understand where the help is. Like you said, good speed and range, he covers ground quick from sideline to sideline with solid fundamentals. He's still young and hopefully his best ball is still ahead of him. We definitely needed some better coverage LB's and Brooks fits the bill. Long is more of a run stuffer, I like the pairing.

as a Seahawks fan y'all will love him a lot. he's a below average cover guy but he's improving every year. he's not an amazing blitzer but he can make plays if left unblocked because he's a very good tackler.

Pass coverage is Brookes strength , run support is his weakness . Check out his tackle for lost stat compare to Fred Warner and other elite backer's .

Don't let Brooks' stats fool you. I've watched every play he's made for the last 4 years. Has trouble dissecting plays. out of position the majority of the time, sets up too deep on TE-crossing routes, and not fast to cover down the field. Tends to get washed out on running plays, usually making the tackle 10 yards down the field. he'll make alot of tackles, but don't be disappointed if the TE has a big game, or the RB runs for more then 150yards that happened more then 50% of the games he was in.

i feel like you nailed it. brooks has been average and at times below average, it always felt like brooks was a step behind which is why the seahawks weren't willing to pay him the money he wanted

When Bobby Wagner left Seattle he was tasked to replace him , he never did. He's a great athlete but an average football player.

Seahawks fan here : jordyn was one of my favorite players on the defense. he is a solid tackler, he does get beat in coverage sometimes, but he will get u guys 100 tackles a season easy. u took brooks so wee took baker, can you guys tell me alil bout him? he looks like he is better than books but I'm unsure.

He's a good player side to side. He can't cover at all. He's a great guy. Much better at blitzing. Overall a good player.

Yeah, I saw that and was surprised. But they had his man coverage rating quite high and his zone very low. Then they put an article out that they liked his coverage ability so I was confused. The film showed me some pretty impressive ability in coverage.

Brooks is one of the worst cover LBs in the nation according to PFF. I'm a lifelong Seahawk fan - he's know as "Mr. Tackle Someone 6-8 yards downt he field". He below average overall but quick enough to track down ball carriers way down the field. Watch the tape - he's the opposite of a "scrapping linebacker".

You mean his 89 passer rating against in coverage makes him good at coverage and not a liability like PFF would want you to believe?! *pretends to be shocked*

Exactly, this isn't a big blow to Seattle. We need hard hitters, that want to smack ppl. Brooks has and will never be that.

Brooks hasn’t been the same player since tearing his ACL. He’s not very good against the run but I agree he’s a good coverage LB. Now do a breakdown of our new 6’1” 274 pound Center that cannot pass block to save his life. I cannot believe Grier is this incompetent but there’s no denying he is the worst GM in the NFL. The WORST!!!

Ross is selling the team. That was brought earlier in the year. Don't be surprise with a trade up in the draft for calib. Hill, waddle, tua, holland, and achain.
