Love this Collab. Leah's been a favorite of mine in the DIYTuber space for a long time, Here's hoping she makes it to 1 million and helps Lrn2DIY get there in turn!

Always get some information from your videos that's useful, that might be tool usage info or just inspiration... great. Like the editing style too.

My personal preference would have been to remove the tile from under the wall. It's a little bit extra work, but worth it IMHO.

0:40 This is a bit of a find with all the accompanying little problems to be overcome like thickness, texture, consistency of the different materials. Looking forward to seeing how you 'invisibly mend' this hole in the wall. Though how you're going to cope with pink and puce green paintwork is beyond me!

That's definitely part of the fun - seeing how Leah tackles all of the colors and other decisions made my former owners of the house. She's already making great progress so I can't wait to see too!

Link in the description to Leah's video doesn't work (probably because she hasn't posted it yet so the URL isn't live).

I'm a dummy and added an exclamation point at the end of the sentence, which broke the link. Should be working now :)

This might seem nitpicky, but since this is a DIY video showing others how to do things I just want to point out for 1/2" drywall you should use 1 1/4" screws. The reason is so the screws don't go in too deep and approach the middle part of the stud where you might have wiring or plumbing. Of course in this case you don't have any of that, but in a lot of typical walls you will definitely have stuff running through the middle of the studs. Those also look like fine thread drywall screws. They're meant for steel studs and don't bite as well into wood. Not the end of the world, but still.. should be using coarse thread screws.

Both valid points. To be completely transparent, a lot of what was used here was what we had on site already. The depth and threading are both relevant though, as you mentioned.

Aren’t you supposed to not use PT indoors because of the potential off-gassing? Or is that just a Canada thing?
