FILIPINO RAILWAY FIESTA? Surprised In Quezon Province! (Philippines Transport)
A FILIPINO RAILWAY FIESTA IN QUEZON PROVINCE... WHAT A SURPRISE!
We were driving from Naga City to Cavite, and decided to pull over at a side road eatery in Tagkawayan. Next thing you know... we are riding the rails! Except in a unique Filipino way! There is a lot of ingenuity from north to south, and here in Tagkawayan, the locals use benches called "Skeets" to ride up and down the tracks. But not just that, they have even motorized a tricycle, and adapted it to be able to ride the railway tracks! Amazing!
This was a wild ride in Quezon Province...
That got even more wild!! When a band started playing going up and down the tracks! It was Barangay Fiesta in Rizal, Tagkawayan. There was a lot going on, including a massive Fluvial parade! I think we missed the dancing, but we certainly didn't miss out on having fun! Surprised in Quezon Province by a railway fiesta... Awesomeness!
Filipino ingenuity rules! This was a wild day in Quezon Province!

You guys never seize to amaze me what you find on small towns. No standards on mode of transportation, what ever works and ingenuity they can come up with. Therins reaction is priceless, not knowing what just did.
It is amazing when you can take an unplanned stop somewhere and it turns out to be a wonderful surprise, like a fiesta. Safe travel and happy smiles guys! 🙂

From the Bicol Region (South Luzon), the Love Sweethearts with the 3rd wheel had now come to the Quezon Province to experience the improvized railway ride with the great fun. It's very amazing!!! Happy Fiesta in Southern Quezon!!! Watching here from General Trias, Cavite.

People in quezon called it skates a mode of transportation that uses the railroad for train. The exciting part ay pag may mkkasalubong na train, need bumaba ng mga sakay at buhatin at alisin ang skate sa riles ng tren. Dati sumasakay ako dyan from Calauag to Manato quezon..

That is an old railway between Sinuknipan and Tagkawayan. That old railway run all the way to Naga City. I have fun riding on that railway cart before.
