My name is Aljohn and I am a 20 year old Polyglot from the Philippines. Well not really, I hate being called a polyglot because there is much more to learn than languages alone. It opened me to a whole new world that was once unfamiliar, that felt like a dream, and I grew to love it.
So if you will ask me, I don't really like languages. I just want to discover the world has to offer and appreciate the beauty of it.

Hi Sir, do you have a group of Spanish speakers where I can join? I really need to immerse in people like you intelligent people to practice Spanish @@aljohnpolyglot
@6:30 The Ambassdor is teaching @aljohnPolyglot and MANY Filipinos forget/don't know that while BOTH Mexico (Nueva Espana) AND The Philippines were Spanish colonies, Mexico AND The Philippines were directly connected during the 250 years of the Galleon Trade. It's sad that this part of history has been forgotten and that @aljohnPolyglot doesn't make the connection that The Galleon Trade was the ONLY way Spain was getting to the Philippines and therefore, The Philippines was absorbing stuff from Nueva Espana ( Mexico) more than Spain. Mexico(Nueva Espana) was basically in control of The Philippines during those years, NOT Spain, because Spain directed Nueva Espana (Mexico) to do all the work in administrating the Philippines. The Philippines actually got influenced by Nueva Espana MORE during colonization than directly from Spain only until after 1821 when Mexico got its independence, and then Spain finally ruled directly for 60 or so years.

And you know what almost nobody knows? We follow spain time. So if its 7am in spain, its also 7am in philippines. So government in philippines starts work at 1 or 2am phil time as its 8 or 9am in spain.
You know 9 languages? This makes me appreciate Jose Rizal more because he is fluent in 20 languages.

There is no credible, empirical evidence that Rizal was fluent in 20 languages...not even in Filipino. He wrote and spoke mainly in Spanish.
You speak spanish so well. I’ve been studying Spanish for more than 30 years and you speak wayyyy wayyy better than me. I am so happy I can understand about 60% - the little pop up words on the screen helps a lot. I have enjoyed this video.❤

Deciding espamol, frances e aleman. Este video es bueno. 😊

Jeez, bro. I don’t know how you do it but good on you for being a polyglot. From one Filipino to another, I’m amazed, man. For the record, I’m an American citizen (born and raised) but my parents and my wife are from the Philippines. At the same time, I’m also learning Spanish mostly because of the steady rise of Latinos coming over to my home state of Hawaii. While most Latinos speak English decently over here, I feel like it would be nice to be able to at least know how to speak some Spanish. I’m not necessarily aiming to be fluent but at the same time, I’m always open to expanding my overall fluency in the language. Especially since the Philippines is slowly reembracing Spanish again.
I craved for the Paella in the background, where is that?
Natuto sana ako ng spaniol mostly of my late mother words were written in Spanish I can understand some

wait lang kasi natutunan ako ng Tagalog pero walang mga resources. And it seems to be more of a spoken language kaysa ang written language. Bakit ba Palaging English subtitltes pero walang Filipino??Kaya sobrang hirap upang maalala ang mga salita at di ako nagaaaral ng grammar kasi I think its boring. Pls Help lol because I really love Tagalog Pero I’m struggling na. Luv ur videos BTW❤️

It will take me double the effort to put subtitles in Tagalog. Filipinos understand English anyways, so it will just be an additional task for me to put subtitles that people rarely use. By the way, I'm so happy that you are learning Tagalog!

@@august_1609 just immerse yourself. once you master the basics. watch local content to grasp the "spoken language". Cuz you're right, the spoken part of it is really different from the "pure tagalog". Once you immersed enough, you will also learn unconsciously when to "code-switch" and use english words and make it tagalized. I know it's complicated but you will get there! The way you used English words proves that you are already are getting the hang of it: 1. Like how you used "pero walang RESOURCES". I don't even know the Tagalog of that LOL. 2. Also how you squeezed "kaysa" in the middle of the second sentence sounds just natural. 3. "Struggling" is also a word that is hard to translate for us, so we often use the English word of it. 4. The only weird thing that I saw in your comment was "upang". Yes it is a Tagalog word but we use "para" more. "upang" sounds really old.
