Filer Guide for Hand-Saws, How to make
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Sharpening a saw can be one of the most "difficult" tasks for a woodworker. I built this guide for sharpening hand-saw teeth at the required relief angles, for both rip saw and crosscut saw.
Inspired in an old tool from 1987 hard to achieve (at least where I live) and using materials available to any person, I show you the step by step to make it by yourself.
I will happy to answer any comment or suggestion.

What a lovely piano recital, complete with the added extra of a video of a true craftsman thrown in for good measure!
A most brilliant solution to accomplish the difficult task of sharpening handsaws. I love the precise way you go about with the run of the mill standard tools. Great. And I liked the music.

Very resourceful. It is almost an exact copy of the Wilson Hand Saw Filer. Later, I think Atkins purchased the patents to the Wilson Hand Saw Filer and Sold it under the Atkins name. In the advertisement for the Wilson Hand Saw Filer it stated, "By following the directions accompanying each filer, a ten year old boy can file a Saw correctly, bringing each tooth to the same level and pitch." I own a Atkins branded version of the the saw filer and love it. I think you did an outstanding job of craftsmanship on your version, Thank you for the video.

Most Excellent. I loved that you used basic Geometry with a pencil, compass and straight edge, as it brings forward the basic ideas and techniques of sacred geometry, bisecting and Vesica Piscis to Golden ratios...Beautiful and well done! Also the hinge pointer was quite brilliant. All simple and elegant with really well done videography. Thanks for taking the time to show that simplicity Is Elegant!

Muchas gracias!
