Goosebumps. In some ways that felt more powerful than a Haka

Still prefer a Tribal War Dance. It represents who you are as indigenous people of Fiji. Even God understands this!.

Much prefer this to any haka. Absolutely breath taking.
Fun fact: the guy with the beard leading the song is an assistant coach and the team’s choir director, which is why they sing so well.

Denis and Malik. The big part of our CULTURE is to gloryfy OUR CREATOR in life weather we win or loose, Hes even added in our National Anthem and its our Faith, Love and Hope in our CREATOR living through life. God used the white man to introduce THE CREATOR to our pagan Islands and thats the only great thing the Eroupeans did in history. Just stating facts..You two have cuture and beliefs too, and RESPECT other peoples Culture and beliefs is what my mama taught me, didnt your mothers teach you that? God bless you two because ONE DAY WE WILL MEET OUR MAKER. GOD BLESS VITI ISLANDS TO ENDURE WHATEVER BEFALLS US, ONWARD MARCH TOGETHER, GOD BLESS VITI ISLANDS, A LAND OF FEEEDOM BOPE AND GLORY FOR EVERMORE, GOD BLESS THE NATIONS, 🇫🇯 FEAR GOD AND RESPECT THE KING!!! 🙏

Hey, here's what I found: "Noqu Masu" translates to "This is my prayer" and can be heard as a blessing sung by the players and fans before Fiji play rugby or rugby league. Lyrics: "This is my prayer That am yearning for The name of Jehovah To you Jehovah So that I can praise your name further Help Me today I cry about them to you The Petitions of my Spirit Hallelujah Come, Sing Hallelujah Hallelujah to Him"

Brass we were never beating Aus in that semi lol
I wrote that HYMM. I believe in the power of words, not books. I'm not a Christian, never been to church, but I was able to take the formula of a Kirtan and use it to prove that I can win tournaments and overcome the difficulties of life which can be measured over a period of time also disproving that Luck doesn't exist and talent isn't what makes a winning team. It's the blessings of a GURU that makes miracles happens. I also wanted to proof and make the butterfly effect into a law proofing how a butterfly's wings creates hurricanes on the other side of the world. By writing this HYMM I proved that HINDUISM is not a religion but a way of life that has been time tested and proven formulae to take an ordinary person like me and a losing team like FIJI and make them world champions. Like all experiments we needed a control team which to help maintain the integrity of this experiment and also as a model to be used as an example as proof that it can only be repeated with a GURU's blessings and nothing else. KC Chiefs is also part of the experiment. We have taken Patrick and proved that it's not the players talent that wins games, but the guidance of a GURU that does it. Patrick didn't listen to his coach and let ego come in the way which is the only reason they lost the Bengals game. I have also found the solutions to the 6 unsolved problems of CMI and the answers are in the TV series Ozark and Black Bird which was my solo creation and with my blessings the first time directors were able to show the power of blessings in a different industry twice with two inexperienced directors. Further proving that the world truly will be a better place, if everyone listens to me.\ -Sarvneel S. Sharma

I might be on my own here, bit I still don't understand why tribal dances are associated with sports. It's somewhat cringey isn't it? Before they play a game, players dance around and tell and scream at each other. Imaging doing it before a chess match. 😂
@maitlandbezzina2842
2 жыл бұрын
If chess were the national sport for most Pacific nations, perhaps they would. It’s their culture and their right to do so and I think it’s brilliant to be exposed to little pieces of each pacific nations traditions through sport. Should be more of it imo rather than surface-level national anthems. These displays show an additional layer to what it means to be a Fijian, NZ’er, Samoan, etc.
@vodaf1384
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah you’re on your own. Your comment just shows you don’t understand the culture and the meaning behind the haka/war chant/dance. It’s doesn’t take a lot to do some research on their meaning and then you’ll see why it ain’t cringy but actually passion and pride! Culture ain’t limited to rugby, if the person playing chess wanted to do the same, they would.
@theirst8586
2 жыл бұрын
Definitely on your own. 1000’s of years of culture, now represented on a national stage and you think it’s ‘dancing around and tell and scream at eachother’? Stick to chess white boy, don’t come to the islands.

@@vodaf1384 no I actually know a lot about tribal tradition, but rugby isn't 'war' nor is it 'tradition'. They've only played rugby for about 60 years. So I stand by my point

@@TheShepdawg9 but you made your comment about more than just rugby when you mentioned chess. So as per my point, the sport is irrelevant - the message behind the chanting/dancing, the culture behind it is what matters.
