Fantastic choice, so glad you showing us your painting skills on these plastic figures. Thank you.

Terrific. These Tamiya figures are really not terrible. They're never going to measure up to resin but they are certainly worth what you pay for them, good for practice and fine for all but front-and-center in most diorama work, IMHO

I don't understand why people trash your music selections. I find the music relaxing. Lot better than some of these goofballs yelling and talking like they slammed three RedBulls and a pot of coffee while Metalica is blasting in the background.

You sir are in my opinion the best figure painter on KZread. Since the corona crisis I went back into painting WW2 scale figures and with each figure I paint, I get better and better but I'm quite far from your level. I like how you make shadows and highlights. This is something I think is very important to make your figures come alive. At around 13:31, do you apply a pre made wash or do you make it yourself based on oil or acrylic paint?

  • @CWModelling

Thanks very much 👍..........the wash is just a very diluted mix of whatever dark colours I have on the palette, which is usually black and/or dark brown

Wargaming paints (Citadel, Army Painter as examples, but there are many others) will certainly work well on these figures. I mix and match using a variety of paints including those as well as Vallejo and AK.
