It’s pathetic that the so called Crowd Safety yobs are throwing the first punches, especially the cowardly king hit at 15:22, he should definitely be charged with assault. These thugs need to learn they’re just words the crowd are throwing, not punches. For the real police that sort of stuff is just water off a ducks back. This happens every year, the "crowd safety" and security people they hire are extremely short tempered and always throw the first punches because their sore egos can't handle being told off by the spectators, and it's always the big mauri or pacific islander guys. "Crowd safety" are not supposed to punch on with people, their job is to de-escalate, not fight with people and even signal "come on" for more. The promoters need to get their shit together.

Why don't the have proper fencing up to stop the yobbo's/bogans crossing onto the road and causing problems/interference? They should use the concrete barriers with the high fences like they use at the V8's etc. What happened to "responsible service of alcohol" at the bar? As a Security Guard myself some of those who were throwing punches that’s assault 💯 but the fact is alcohol and the heat are like dynamite add in a few idiots who don’t get it and it explodes it’s a shame that people who are there for the cars and the atmosphere it’s going to be hard to keep Summernats going they have no grog areas or a dry event remember that family and kids see this and they will not enjoy the experience of being at a great car show best in the world but love the cars cheers for the video
