There was a hapkido instructor invited to teach the army. So after introduction, he put the challenge for anyone to try to choke him. And indeed he was able to walk the talk, until a low rank soldier who already failed his promotions only because body to fat ratio (he passed all the tests), tried to choke him, and he couldn't escape and fall unconscious. I put my hat off to him, because the next day he flew back to korea. That is a rare quality we found today, because after the event, the higher up still want him to continue to train the army, because martial art is not just about choke, and he sure has many useful technique to hands on.

Nice videos, watched them all, however, when you say 'fight', this would imply some intent and power. I think it's just light sparring that you do.

you have a wonderful series going but there is too much chat and not enough of demo or technique, for my personal taste.

talking about respect, you people should sit on chairs with legs down on the ground. be respectful to the audience and the person who interviewed you.

all depends on application.I done karate and ninjutsu and i have found that its how you use it that counts. I have found that throws and locks do not work in real life very well and that the most effective self defence is single strikes that do huge amounts of damage for example a side kick to the shin.roundhouse full 360 through the knee.palm heel strike to the side of the jaw, step through punch into the mouth work well for me. as for blocks they were never meant to be used so you can stand toe to toe with someone and they throw a barrage of attacks. Best defence is correct distancing. Blocks are used to break and damage the opponents arms if he is stupid enough to over commit with an attack.
