When I was 16 I found his managers contact info and emailed him explaining how I was a huge fan asking for an autograph and even wrote a comedy parody book report where Kimbo was the main character. Maybe two weeks to a month later, a large envelope came from a Miami P.O. Box with an 8 1/2 * 11 picture of him posing with his fists up autographed in gray sharpie. It just shows how much of a real dude he was to his fans, the postage was around 9 bucks.

I remember seeing him fight on KZread when i was in 7th grade; i was enthralled. This big, vicious brute of a man. He was almost terrifying but so much fun to watch. I would literally watch his fights on KZread with my younger brother, just to crap ourselves watching how badly he would knock people out. So around 2011 i commented something on an MMA forum about how I didn't find him to be particularly skilled in mixed martial arts & didnt think he'd have too much success. Basically, the way i was saying it i was talking shit about him as a 19 almost 20 year old college kid. Kimbo Slice, HIS DAMN SELF, commented on what i said. "Its like a different sport than im used to but as long as God allows me, I'll get better. We're not the best yet but we're trying to be " Wrote it down and never forgot it.

@@triztenklk actually that's a common misconception due to Hollywood. vikings actually had many ways into the hall of feasts in Valhalla. one absolutely was to die by the sword with sword or axe in hand. to live as a seer making hallucinogenic teas to visit the heavens. astronomers we're very covered for their knowledge of the cosmos. it is said Odin relies heaviest on his astronomers to hold the cosmos together therefore the astronomers already have a spot in Valhalla. likewise women who die giving birth are reborn a Valkyrie that protects the hall. those are just some of the very many paths into Valhalla. there's many many more. I'm not calling you ignorant of it or anything. it's a very common misconception and is by no means your fault.
