The guy in the gray shirt defended well!
Curtis Stewart
4 күн бұрын
Man in the grey shirt was not defending at all he was attacking the whole time. Red shirt would not stop running backwards while he was slapping hands how you going to defend when you can't run and space is limited. Yeah just waste all that fuckin energy 🧐🤔🤨
Kükenshredder
4 күн бұрын
@Curtis Stewart Are you sure? But gray guy never got hit once! That's good defence!
This is sharp evasion and mobility with good cover guards, head movement, footwork and a lighting pace. The smaller man is at a distinct disadvantage in reach and weight. The big guy is feeding well and they manage range while scrambling. It's training not a fight... They would split each other up if they tried to land punches at this bare knuckle game. I'm sure they could easily step it up a level and start landing punches easy enough though. They hug at the end and no harm done. 👊💀

You are correct so many people post things and show how ignorant they are they can’t distinguish training from fighting if you fight constantly without training you would never last long
Eric Hibler
2 күн бұрын
@jc64car Agreed... Playing the long game allows for growth and proper injury management as well. Partners must respect each other's lethality and avoid damaging each other or, they'll end up fighting hurt. 👊💀

Basically how the izzy and sean fight went but with the guy in red actually landing shots 😂
Buenos desplazamientos, extremadamente geniales redirecciones y esquives decentes. Este chico ha aprendido muy bien lo mejor que hacen las artes marciales de oriente y fallan las de occidente, que es redireccionar los golpes. Un trabajo genial.
The crucial and most difficult part of this defense technique is convincing your attacker to attack the air in front of you instead of your face.

Its more shodow boxing then pure self defense. It helps to practice keeping distance but the best defence is a strong and explosive attack like palm strikes, kick to the grooing, elbows and then run 🏃🏼♂️🏃🏼♂️🏃🏼♂️ cause he might have buddies waiting for you.

Eventually, the numbers will win.. Once you mitigate one barrage, you can't continue to do so, even in a drill. If you train that way, you will respond that way. I like it though! It's a good skill to learn with respect to distance flow when you have space available. I like the fact they're outside and not in a Studio or Canvas. Hats off to the instructor, I take my students outside as well.
As the air I can confirm those punches hit the air.

Usually helps when the punches you throw aren't half a foot short of the target.
Not only does it teach a bad defense for the student, it also teaches a bad offense for the other student Awesome, 10/10! 🔥💪

In all fairness if the goal is real life scenarios were its likely "Regular Ass Joe" that's going to press them this might be enough. But yeah they are both screwed if they have to fight anyone with any real skill. Truth is most guys with real skill are not out picking fights though.
dbspaceoditty
12 күн бұрын
@bobbydee30g people confuse sport fighting and self defense. i will defeat any sports fighter 100% of the time if they have to follow what they have learned in sports fighting. i have a lock in my pocket tied to a sock, and knife that can stab through black top. the goal is to survive long enough. not to mention ive cracked multiple skulls and broke many collar bones. these bjj/wrestling guys think you can just shoot for a take down. they assume people lack training. and all you gotta do is check with your knee and they take them self out. the slightest amount of minimal training actually makes the most difference. i think this is why some people think self defense classes for woman actually work. but for men, yeah, learning to cheap shot somebody in the nose or kick them in the balls is a great way to start this encounter.

Great, never let your guard down
this dude plays patty cake at a high level
You should always try to be the aggressor and when they step back, step on their foot and they will lose balance and put their hands back to catch their fall. Go in and take your free opportunity
I think the point isn’t to strike but to impede the attack and avoid getting hit. Prob to run away once you break free. Only fight if you absolutely have to otherwise it’s not worth risking injury. Any real self defense coach will tell you this.

Looks like he's mastered his defense, now if he can learn to throw a counter punch, he might actually win a fight.
His second punch would have 100% connected if he wasn’t punching a mile away

@United Statianif he’s throwing that late it wouldn’t have hurt you anyways. Most ppl just throw there whole body into a punch and your not going to push that away with you hands unless there’s a huge weight difference

Try living in a small town in the UK. Street fights are basically part of the culture here 😂 we fight with our fists though and anyone who ever uses a weapon is instantly thought of as soft
It may not seems much, but whatever gets you warm up on workout is better. Stay focus, keep it up, and go at your own pace. Not everyone is suddenly born a pro in everything.
Grown men playing Patty Cake. 😂😂😂
In general, it is always bad practice to reach out with your hands when trying to block and deflect. Move your head, not just your body. Keep your hands close to your head. If you’re going to run, just turn and run.

Hands to the head only work with gloves. The only situation where it's useful in a real fight is if you have already lose and have to reduce the damage while getting hit. In this scenario don't use your hands, use the whole arms to protect as much as possible, the strikes will go through your guard no matter what you do
