@@bobbydee30g people confuse sport fighting and self defense. i will defeat any sports fighter 100% of the time if they have to follow what they have learned in sports fighting. i have a lock in my pocket tied to a sock, and knife that can stab through black top. the goal is to survive long enough. not to mention ive cracked multiple skulls and broke many collar bones. these bjj/wrestling guys think you can just shoot for a take down. they assume people lack training. and all you gotta do is check with your knee and they take them self out. the slightest amount of minimal training actually makes the most difference. i think this is why some people think self defense classes for woman actually work. but for men, yeah, learning to cheap shot somebody in the nose or kick them in the balls is a great way to start this encounter.

The lesson here is, when in a street fight, don't punch your opponents hands.

That and getting his hands up for defense at every attempted attack. He knows it’s not for real so the block attempts look fugazi (as do the punches) but this most definitely has things to take positively from it. The movement too, keeping them in front. Moving fluidly through wide open spaces. On the down side, if it’s a brawl, the wide movements might not end well

@75kGigaWatt u think a real streetfight has controlled foot work? It's literally about adapting to the situation. Most people flail around until it inevitably turns into a wrestling match. You're watching this like they're training to fight for a championship, that's not the case

@@fuhgetabouthat247 real streetfight dont like this, yes better learn boxing and wrestling, self defence liying most of the times.

When you have endless amount of room to run backwards
I feel like this drill has real world applications because it’s so open and the opponent can really do/try anything and this keeps you on your toes with a close reach
@imasealarparparparp2714

Not really no. If somebody was really punching you, you won’t be able to backpedal away as they’ll close the distance much faster than here. And you can obviously see the guy punching pulling back his shots as to not hit his head. And you won’t be able to block punches with an open fist. Not to mention that if you did this and the opponent was larger they’d most likely try to grapple

@@imasealarparparparp2714you need to shut up when in fighting stance you cant advance as quick as the one retreating this would work in a street fight and its also just training to deal with pressure from having an opponent coming at you. If you dont know anything its best to stay quiet sometimes

Surely if you do this a repeatably amount of times , it will at least help you be more used to dealing with an altercation of some sort just minus the REAL threats , and MANY people today are to scared to fight so will try or carry a weapon 🔪 🔫 and that's when the time really matters , but to each their own , staying of the couch is key 🗝️
