Glad I saw home dominate, also glad I was watching the night he got blasted by rashad, not because I liked rashad, but I love the sport. If rashad didn’t throw his punch down the middle that chuck hook was gonna rip his head off lol

I can honestly see him getting dropped and locking in a sub if green jumps ontop ..would be so iconic if he is able to lock in a triangle same way he won the belt against Kevin Lee!!

About the fighters chin deteriorating after a bad beating… I think it was Chuck Liddel who was talking about how when you get knocked unconscious, anytime after that your body just refuses to let you take as much punishment and be as tough as you are and just shut down to save you from taking damage, practically what you were saying

Fun one! I would be amazing if El Cucuy can make a comeback, but I have my doubts. I wish he would have been able to fight Khabib when they were both peaking.

I think Tony lost a lot of his athleticism after all the injuries he's gotten, he used to used to be this freak athlete who could compete with nearly everybody, to a guy who looks a lot slower and way less durable nowadays. The massive beating he took against Gaethje certainly didn't help, but his last 2 wins before that fight were doctor stoppages in fights he was getting hurt in. The decline started before anybody could really notice.

i been waiting for this one, i absolutely love tony's unorthodox style

bobby green subbed him. insane. bobby hasn't had a submission win in like ten years. Furgy is such a tough convo, hes still got it. He dropped gaethje, dropped chandler, dropped bobby green. But the last 6 fights, he just hasnt been able to win.

That coming back from injury early + double weight cut + beating by gaethje really took a toll, cause its looks like not only did he lose that durability and chin, but also some of that athleticism. And for a style as weird and as unorthodox as his, you need that athleticism to be effective

I believe Tony started declining physically after the RDA fight, and then the Gaejthe fight took his confidence away. Now he's both physically and mentally broken.

That Gaethje fight was what really did it bro took career ending damage that fight and clearly has never been the same and after the vicious Chandler front kick KO Tony is done done he needs to hang it up
