From someone who is incredibly claustrophobic, this is completely missing the point. The whole reason behind claustrophobia is the fear of “how am I going to get out”, not “wait 5 minutes and it’s over”.

People with claustrophobia will always get extreme anxiety when they are enclosed in a small space. Just look at ct scans...the doctors/nurses will tell you that you will be out in 10-30 minutes but they will still experience panic attacks while in the machine.

The reason why she was able to control her fear is because she knows that the person is next to her and he would open the coffin when she would get scared. To test if the fear is realy gone we need to test the person by letting her stuck in a lift where you cant see anything outside (basically a non glass lift where you cant see out) and let her or him not know that you are doing it wantedlyy . And see how the person reacts. I'm claustrophobic too

Imagine waking up, and finding out that you are laying down in a box with your hands to your side. You try to move and you can but you can't even stretch your arms out to your side, you can't roll over and don't even have enough room to bend your arms enough to put them on your chest. The walls look smooth and flat, and there are no ridges or anything, and it all just looks like a painted wall. You start yelling and you don't hear anything and after 10 minutes you don't think anyone is even near you. You don't even know if anyone will ever come. Imagine if that was the rest of your life, imagine dying of starvation while also suffering from being in that box, imagine if you had adhd or a sensory disorder, and, before you were even in the box, you where someone who just felt like moving a bit at times. Ok that's all

It's the movement restriction that gets me. I'm okay in small spaces as long as I can freely move my arms and legs. But, the thought of being handcuffed or tied up is pure nightmare fuel for me. Or a rollercoaster brace that pins down my legs and arms. Even a cramped theater seat where there's no room to move my feet or elbows will freak me out to the point that I have to get up and leave.

I don’t believe she is claustrophobic, because she did it to quick. Normally claustrophobic people stop and don’t want to get into no tight confined space, they start to analyze the whole situation by looking at everything with a mind set of NOPE not getting into that while shaking or tearing up. Also, while having shortness of breaths with palpitations and immediately as they see the small confined space, scary thoughts of how to get out of a tight nailed shut space with nobody hearing you to help. To me this process went so fast it really doesn’t seem to help to face no fear of claustrophobic. My honest personal opinion just wouldn’t work for me.
