Good show, and they've kicked it up to 120. Haven't heard that in years.

Blake has NO idea how much work goes into this. I marched in my military school's band in JFK's Inaugural parade & we were freezing but I never forgot it & never will. - Nerds, hell. Dedicated & hardworking & talented people. Screw him & his hate.

I saw the Aggie band play during halftime at an ISU football game in Ames, Iowa in the mid-90s and it made a lifelong impression. The march with Patton theme gave me serious goosebumps. I think my hair stood on end for the rest of the game. The ISU band followed up and played "The Macerana". It was embarrassing to say the least. We (ISU) deserved to lose based solely on that song choice...

Such an amazing band. Only able to see them perform in person once. Was curious after watching numerous videos about the number of cadets marching. It seems to change occasionally. Is that based on how many they had each particular year or how many that were requied for a particular performance? I'm assuming that some formations require more cadets while others less. Any help anyone can be would be greatly appreciated.

There are several factors that can contribute, Rick, including the numbers who choose to join for a given year and where and when a game is played. For away games, they will often march with a smaller group due to travel cost. Also, during years when their numbers are high, they might march almost everyone the first home game and then reduce to the typical 363 for the rest of the home games as the drill complexity increases.

@@jamesbeaman6337 Thanks James. Didn't attend TAMU but my son was there for 3 semesters. Had so much fun that the university didn't invite him back! Might've helped had he attended class! I just fell in love with the place. Friendly & welcoming. For 40k + students, the campus atmosphere is so intimate. Keep posting and thanks again.

Jon, the name of those 12 seniors collectively is Bugle Rank. Their job is to each lead their file of bandsmen and with some of the intricate maneuvers, it was thought best that they focus on that rather than worrying about playing too. Plus, it’s not like there’s usually a shortage of instrument players.

Suggestion: don't bring the bugles out in such a lackluster manner at the opening. I can give you two ways to bring them out, at least. Wing T or Mistral Turn.

+Blake Grice these band members our nations first officers and leaders of the nation. Not too many schools can demonstrate complete control and unison the way this bad does. At last they don't attempt have a stdrtshiop attach the KU Jayhawk and end up looking like an act fallatio.

+Blake Grice I agree. Thank God the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band isn't! The football team might not win every game, but the band has NEVER lost a halftime.
