Best movie I have ever watched. Never have I root for the main character of a movie this much. Not even all the superheroes or superstars get me this much sympathetic .

James Cameran has made me fall for ALITA all over again. He must really liked the manga.

I found out about gunnm *because* Cameron said he was going to adapt it. Hard to believe that was over 10 years ago and this movie finally came out. Fingers crossed for the sequel!

This is the first movie in my entire life that can drive me crazy, i went to cinema 3 times in a week, just to watch alita, i dont feel bored at all..this is amazing..cant wait for the sequel..

Y’all I went to the movie premiere in Berlin and it’s so so good. Do yourself a favor and watch it. One of the best action movies to me

I’m already predicting an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects.

No, clearly not.

This is the best scene in the movie for me and definitely one of the best in movie history. The visuals, the audio design, the background dialog, THE SCORE. The OST for this movie is one of the best I've ever heard. "In time you'll remember" just makes me feel so motivated and wanted to do what Alita just did. It's the literal sound of greatness but can also be read as melancholy as the movie is extremely dark and sad when it is. This movie deserves a sequel more than anything in media and I will die on that hill.

i saw the trailer for that new captain marvel movie just before this one started in the cinema, and the marvel superhero movies are literally the same movies but a different protagonist alita is one the best movies ive seen, that marvel shit bores me to crap

This movie needs to win an award for CGI. I had to remind myself that she wasn't real, it's incredible. With a movie market oversaturated with superheroes, Alita was refreshing. I seen it three times and I can't wait to get the Blu-ray. I hope the sequel is in the works.

The Motorball race is a must see in Imax 3D. Already among the best action scenes ever made.

@@dct7407 Panzer Kunst is basically a mix of Wushu, Tae Kwon Do and little Wing Chun, mostly Wushu and Tae Kwon Do since it looks more impressive on screen The double legged drop kick she uses to take out the first cyborg with a shot to the head is Tae Kwon Do, that would fuck you up xD When doing silly girl Wing Chun chain punches at 0:38, looks so cute 🛌🍄

"critics" say Captain Woke is a fresh air and Alita predictable and dull. Yeah right, give me a break. One gathers money out of brainless sheep crowd with political propaganda, while I will spend my money and support this endearing piece of cinematography. People hate what they lack and don't understand, so all they have left is hate and misery buried deep inside their guts.

Say what you want about the movie, but as someone who read the original manga, I can say it's very faithful to the source material. Even the scrapyard city shows it's infamous high pressure water walls at 1:51.

@@thunder01xb which ultimately doesnt make any sense whatsoever, Panzer Kunst should be strange, foreign martial art developed for CYBORGS - you know beings unhindered by stupid limitations of human physiology, its also supposed to be developed to fight opponents that are physically much stronger and larger - again not in human terms, just a little bit, but soldiers taller than buildings and packing power capable of demolishing sayd buildings in single hit. Basing it on something as ordinary as "kung fu" is a misstep, she should be moving in ways that are IMPOSSIBLE for a human ... and utilizing momentum of her whole body (in first fight in manga she EXPLODED her opponents head by curling into a ball while spinning then springing a kick out of that using all of her momentum to turn her opponents head into a fine red mist ... in MIDAIR ...) stupid twirling of arms like what is shown is "flashy" but attack as weak as that wouldnt be able to do jack shit against few cm thick STEEL ARMOR of cybernetic foes its supposed to be designed to fight against ...

Wow Asghaad I'm sure glad you're such an expert on what kind of movements would be effective in combat against gigantic robots. All martial arts, including kung fu, is designed to maximize the force and energy that your body can produce in a strike, and using your opponent's own force against him. That sure sounds to me like what you would need to fight against bigger, stronger foes. That being said, this is a live action movie, and people want to see elegant and strong combat moves that look good and make sense in terms of physics. Martial arts movies have proven that this kind of combat is pleasing to most audiences. Is it the best technique for fighting against giant android enemies? Hell, I have no idea and neither do you. It's not like you fought a giant android last night and here you are criticizing Alita's techniques because you speak from the voice of experience. You know nothing. I know nothing. Just sit back and enjoy the movie. If this action sequence looks dumb to you, hey, skip the movie.

Amy Carter SPOILER for others!! Hugo and Alita fall in love, Hugo always wanna go up and live in Zalem and not in the Scrapyard. Well something will happen to him and he would almost die, the Dr gets him back to life transforming in to a Robot! He tries to go to Zalem again! And gets shredded in half on the way due to heavy security! With the remaining life left he still tries to crawl back to Zalem and on the way he slips and hangs in mid sky! Alita tries her best to save him but he falls anyways saying “i love u and I’m glad that Iv met u”....

This is far better than mortal engines. Mortal engines while to me is not really bad, is also really not on the level that i hope. But this alita movie, damn, is awesome!!! I'm gonna watch it again in imax
