Dumb question been a while since I've watched the movie and I'm sure someone can correct me But isn't one of the major themes of this movie that we're not special? So "be somebody " is kind of antithetical to the movie

@@urdadshusband781 Tyler's message (AKA the narrator's internal belief) is that nobody is special and we're all put here just to decay. The movie is about overcoming your incorrect internal beliefs. As evidenced by how Tyler's story ends in the finale.

In the end in the book is not marla and the "space monkeys" who come to save jack, but she and all the people from the support groups that they attended.
You couldn't had picked a better song to match this movie. (spoiler alert) the fact that Tyler says in the movie "i look how you wanna look, i fuck how you wanna fuck etc.." makes this video have an impact. Hell even the whole meaning of the movie. Being chained from consumerism, being too comfortable in a lazy job, a lazy routine, a lazy life trying to break out of reality. You want to be somebody else rather than yourself but... this cant happen without a taste of who you are..It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything
