Yeah fifa 13 and 14 just hit different. 17 was lit too. But fifa10 on release... What a time to be alive

creation center was amazing. career mode had different scenarios in the early 2010’s too. i had a bayern career in which my board came to me to tell me that they were concerned about schweinsteiger’s party lifestyle. i had to respond in a few different ways. these responses affected my budget, affinity, and team performance. this would be absolutely amazing today. imagine a man united career with the team starting a rebellion.

Back in like FIFA 13 I had literally went on the creation center on my PC, created my entire irl football team, uploaded them to the site, and downloaded them in game. You could also download other peoples created players and so I had players like Zidane, r9 Ronaldo etc in the game. It's so sad how bad the games are now.

Fifa needs to add classic teams in quick match game mode like NBA2K has, imagine getting to play with the Arsenal incincibles, or Argentina 1986, or Italy 2006, Manchester United 1998, Brazil 1970… the list goes on and on, I can’t beleive EA still hasn’t added this.

Regardless of how difficult it would for EA to gain a license for these, this should be a huge objective for them. Laughable that you can’t do it when you’ve been able to do it in any other sports game for years now

Imagine being able to play as for example Turkey 2002 and Brazil 2002 to recreate the iconic Turkey-Brazil match in WC 2002 or Galatasaray 99-2000 and Arsenal 99-2000 to recreate the UEFA Cup 2000 final on stadiums like the Parken in Denmark and the Ali Sami Yen Stadium as like an icon stadium you can unlock

NBA has these classic team, but many of them aren't complete, even thou they were major teams. Licensing is a nightmare

Anyone remember lounge mode? Used to play that mode a lot until it was removed, remember being able to give my mate a random injury or a red card before a game even started it was a great laugh

In the 05/06 pls there was this really cool more where you had to play games in history and change the last or continue it. One of them was the 05/06 Utd team vs the 05/06 Bayern team and it was the 90th minute and you had a corner just like the original game. This mode was difficult but actually very enjoyable.

That is the challenge mode he talked about, though for some reason Vizeh said it was "obviously for the WC games" when in this very video there are at least 2 screenshots that prove it was in the CL games as well. It was also in the 2006/2007 game, I learned my first football history from that mode, it was great fun as you said even though I dont think I ever got that damn corner kick to go in lol. Yeah, you had things like the 99 final you mentioned, "the king of all combacks" (Liverpool vs AC Milan), "no chance?" (Being 4-0 down in the 58th min as Barca vs AC Milan. Sounds easy enough), being 3-0 down as Monaco vs Porto in the 76th min (christ above, try beating THAT. It was Mourinho s irl win with Porto in 2004), "roar like a lion" (Celtic s irl win, starting 1-0 down vs Inter after only 7 mins, at least you had time to turn it around on that one) and those were only the finals featured. You had the lasagna gate game featured in the qualifying section too, WHY DONT WE GET THIS ANYMORE EA??? Maybe just the past few CL seasons and use the current teams like you did back then if you dont want to licence the old teams, something, it was such a cool mode, this is how you get people invested in football history EA. But they dont care about the sport itself these days, they care about UT packs...

If only they didn’t remove a lot of things that were great in the past, Fifa would have been much better than ever

In addition to the features listed in this video, I remember back in FIFA 10 you could add your own songs to the game's soundtrack, which could be used in menus and during games (after scoring walkout etc). A shame FIFA stripped back on these features to appeal to the lowest common denominator and focus on FUT.

You could do it in fifa 14 too, and maybe fifa 15

The match day feature where u have to try to replicate what happened in a match the previous week. For example Chelsea v Arsenal where Drogba scored the winner in the last 10 mins of the game… u have to replicate that by only controlling Drogba .. u get more rewards depending on the difficulty . This used to exist and was fun

As years went on EA just started to care more about the animations, and it's ruining the fun. The higher the player's stats are the faster they do animation, and that's what makes fifa more of a pay to win game nowadays. Back in the days all u needed is 5 star skills, now you need 99 fcking agility. Also the fact that scripting is massively ruining the game, every fifa is unplayable after december, and the fact they don't have stuff they had in 2006. But what they do have is a new cool hair animation where player's hair moves, woww!!!!

@@zizoushifty1483 it's not about "good players", it's about meta players, every squad is basically the same and it's not "cheesing" your way to a win in previous fifa's if you're good, you didn't even need an OP squad to beat a good team, because you could actually play football, nowadays it's just mbappe neymar and the same skill moves and shit over and over again the difference between an mbappe and even messi is massive and what is your definition of good? spamming bridges last year and this year spamming finesse shots?

The scripting is the single biggest reason I quit FIFA back in 2016. Doesn't matter if it was UT or Pro Clubs, the scripting was disgusting. Shit tackling, speed-whoring and awful keepers were bad enough, but the scripting was the big one

why did they get rid of the feature where you practice up against an AI team and practice tactics, it was in the practice mode if I remember correctly and it hasn’t been a thing for quite a long time

People were fine with the removal of the points store (I never was) but now boot updates don’t come, if you want to get a middle of save cash injection nope, Classic Jerseys gone. Just Lazy.

FIFA 06 was my first FIFA. I was 11 years old and this video unlocked so many good memories of hours of play. Playing older fifas in the game was a gem. Club management in carreer mode was actually like we wante it to be nowadays. Great video lad.

06 was a great game

UCL 2007 game had a career mode about winning a treble with loads of challenges and scenarios in it was brilliant. Would make a boss series too

You know its bad when you can load up a FIFA game from 13 years ago on a PSP and have more details than a PS5 version of a 2021 FIFA game

One thing I hate now is the manager rating. All it’s dictated by is whether I complete my board objectives. I want to see a measurement of how my club fans rate me, how my personal fans rate me, how my team likes me, how the media like me, etc. Simple details to make the game way better and long-lasting

I remember back in the day maybe fifa 04/05 in career mode you could play with home shirts away shorts and socks etc to prevent kit clash but you cant do that in any recent fifas which is so stupid

Does anyone remember the different playlist/game mode lobbies on the old FIFA games? The last FIFA which had this feature was FIFA 14. You could create, setup or even join online custom games, be it 2v2, 3v3, 10v11 etc. Would be cool to have such feature back again. There's no way to play 2v2 friendlies or 3v3. The closests you can get is Pro Clubs.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers! They were fun and I loved joining and listening to people get angry lol

I love that 11v11 in practice arena, the opponent has unique names as if it a local amateur team doing sparing training against the club you picked and that create set piece, actually creative way to do set piece and can be use on the game for the music, there's not much song about football or with vibe to it, and i think EA done a good job so far with soundrack, picking song from every genre for everyone taste, and what the best is they pick less known music that actually good, i think lots of players agree with that one

Remove price ranges Only the real OGs remember

They remove cool stuff and then, 10 years later they add it back to the game and pretend that is a new thing

You'd be able to make a whole video about FIFA 11 on Wii, it's a whole different game with a bunch of features that don't exist on any other FIFA

At least we've got the Soccer Aid Icons Team now, so in a way in Fifa 20 they gave us the Classic XI back in a better form tbh, as for everything else, it sucks when they remove stuff. 👍

Early in the 2010s you had to do certain things to level up your virtual pro. Score Goals with weak foot, or make x amount of clear tackles, save penalties. Also in the first version of UT (fifa 09?) you could add your own player to the team, also the training cards were unlimited. You could bring every player to 99.

You used to be able to make your own set pieces. It was toxic but fun. People would place 7 men around the keeper for corners. 😂😂😂

I just want the Liga do Brazil back with real players, just this is enough.

I miss the club catalogue from the older FIFA's being able to purchase all star teams and retro kits was pretty cool. You could even have those retro kits in career mode if I'm not mistaken

There was a fiffa that you could increase the stadium capacity on. And also the sponsors were cool too. Bonuses that were cars or houses also was in one

In Pro Clubs around FIFA12 your pro used to have an accomplishments book where your stats would grow based on different things you'd do in matches. When completing each accomplishment you'd get a little notification during live matches saying something like 'Completed 5 ground passes- Short Pass +2' and so on. I used to enjoy that quite a bit.

Trade offers need to come back! Defeats the purpose of calling cards tradeable and untradeable

Scenario mode was class. The early ISS games had them too and they were amazing.

FIFA 09 all play on the wii had some of the craziest features like table football, juggling and a whole game mode with all stars

It was really interesting that in FIFA 06, apart of the EA Trax, that has this little audios of interesting goals, just like the one that it was showed while you showing the Retro part in FIFA 06

If it existed I would bring back a feature to have matches without scripting

FIFA 99 and 2000, you used to be able to edit player stats and team kits. Also, when Be A Pro first came out, there was a book of challenges to do in the game, and you could do them in an online game or in your Be A Pro career. It would have, for example "score x amount of volleys" and it would increase specific stats to go with it. I remember trying to unlock the long throw in trait, by having to take a certain amount of throw-ins, but only full-backs ever took them, so it often resulted in playing boring games trying to win throws

You can see your friends' teams if you pick them to play against(and view away team) in friendlies (while you choose which team to play against)

As someone who likes making custom tournaments I find it very frustrating that we don’t have every national team like i wouldn’t even care if they had generic kits and had fake players from around the level off the real ones

Can you not still view and play opponents teams through the offline friendlies tab? I haven't checked this year, but it was there last year and theres not too much different between the games

In fifa 12 in the online modes there was a league mode where you could create a league with and invite people online to play. You could choose how many games take place (face each player either 2 or 4 times) and it would a have a league table. I don't think it had points just win or lose. But you could have all your friends in a league and not just face them each separately like in online friendlies. I wish it would return it would be huge.

Back in FIFA12 you could create online tournaments with friends, Also we had match lobbies, you could Join someone and play Just for fun, with edited teams etc...

There was also AI teams being bought and massively increasing their budget until FIFA 14 too

No touch dribbling from fifa 16, was so fun to use

Wow, I had no idea there used to be exclusive interviews in the game. Damn. As for silvers being good, that was really because we couldnt afford anything else, the best you could get was 15k for winning Division One so you had pretty much no way of getting top tier players (and yes, EA didnt spam promos all the time so there were less good players in general). The soundtracks I honestly classify into a bunch of different periods as they tried to go in different directions, I mean old 09 music was different from 14,then they changed direction again with 16 and then with 17, then we got the 18-19 period, then the current UK grime/rap based period from 20 onwards. Pretty much everything before 20 is nostalgic to me and I find myself listening to them more and more as I wish I could go back to those days. One correction, the challenge mode was in the CL games as well lol, the proof is right there in this video and it was challenging but great fun, it was how I learned my first football history as a kid, I d bring it back in a heartbeat if I could. Then again, I would bring back almost all of these, it is just sad how many features EA threw away without warning only to probably add them back in many years later as "new improvements" like they did with simming and create a club. Imagine if we still had all of these. These days we get players missing shirt numbers and with noodle arms and people fired/barely hanging on to the job for not buying 3 crucial Asian players despite having a great season footballing wise for Christ s sake. All they care about is UT and even there they have gone backwards imo this year, I havent even bought 22

My first fifa was fifa 13 for the wii. Hands down best fifa ever. Player career mode was an absolute blast to play and it also has a lot of memorable songs.

I remember fifa 13-17 you had fifa credits (not fifa points) they were like achievement points and you waste them on kits, retro kits, 99 games contract, designer footballs, stadium, celebrations, and the best of all Loan players!!!!

Back in the days i use to play fifa 08 on the PSP, there the quiz and a juggling gamemode as well, you would have to play it sideways

I remember playing FIFA 06, 07 ,08 memories they're all coming back the features I saw on this video this game has so much potential but EA turn it into garbage

Wii fifa career mode was the only career mode I played, upgrading my city and getting higher pop than my mates was the only thing I was interested in

Idk if it exists but in FUT i would like a two- three week draft event that was like Bronze players only, or Silver Players only that gave a special card reward It would be a good change from the sweat festival it is atm

In career mode a few fifas ago you could praise your own players or opposition players in press conferences

I think it was maybe fifa 12 on the wii, they had a fifa street mode with power ups. It was the pinnacle of fifa for a child

I miss when certain regions had a different player. I remember in I think fifa 11 having Ricardo Carvalho and Rooney, It was something not many people noticed but still a nice touch in my eyes. Also I remember quaresma and Ronaldinho side by side on either 06 or 07. Portuguese cover is what I'm talking about, but I am curious to see what different regions had.

You missed virtual pro, i think fifa 10 or 11 where you could use your pro in any game mode and level them up by just playing games and getting achievements

Playing classic XI on legendary difficulty was/is always a great challenge

Fifa 12 on the wii had a fifa Street neighbourhood so If you went onto the fifa Street mode it would have things like club vs club and you could make your own team it was quite good

I remember when I got FIFA 11 on PS3 and I went to try career mode and they legit removed every feature except transfers, but some reason they still had them on the pc version, I was just stunned

Till 2011 the PC Version of fifa games was the PS2 era engine and gameplay but with an HD skin

I would have bought back the player manager mode because the AI that manages the team in my player carrer gives me headache

Fifa 11 you was able to upload your own music playlist into the game

yeah it was in fifa 13 aswell at the top of the table we have chelsea with 29 points things like that just adds to the game

Classic XI exists but they have the Soccer Aid kits and badge and stuff instead of generic ones

I remember Fifa 2000 having classical teams, like Brazil 70, Netherlands 74, Real Madrid 50 and so on

I miss the RPG element of the Career mode. Fifa soundtracks haven't been great in about 10-16 years either. I left the video running accidently for a minute, but I don't know if you mentioned the 5-a-side indoor mode from Fifa 97? The addition of the World Cup/Euro games were great. Great video!

With the stats the only thing that’s missing is goal difference which you can work out easily anyway

Could you imagine attribute cards in fifa 22, a bunch of cards with 80+ in every main stat. Add more stats to those cards and you have a beast

As I'm creating mods now after getting done with playing FUT for 4 years I would love Creation Centre back. Also for FUT I'd love actual trade offers like back in the days. So for mods CC, for FUT trade offers.

Fifa 97- playing indoors. I miss that.

EA did this with Madden as well. They've removed over a hundred features in favor of Ultimate Team and fans hate it. I think that the last 3 games were rated low, and the last one is rated like 0.2 out of 10. And now EA is trying to change things after not giving a shit for 15 years!

This video was perfect but here are some things they need to bring back: - The ability to search for any player in career mode based on their overall rating. I hate the whole regional scouting, its just annoying and tedious - Ranked and unranked online matches. I just want to play a quick online game without going through seasons mode. - International teams. In old world cup games you can use any national team with full rosters. Now world cup is just a cheap add on with a small amount of national teams. They've regressed soo badly man its upsetting. - Save goal replays. Yes you can record gameplay but you can't go back and see the goal in every angle and speed like you used to be able to.
