Brilliant tutorial. Changed my brake light bulb in no time after watching this. Although the shop sold me the wrong bulb, which sent my dashboard and sidelights haywire when pressing on the brakes. All sorted now. A three minute job that Halfords charge £18 for 😂 Nice one 👍🏼

You know, this sort of thing would be so much easier if I, or apparently literally anyone, could tell me definitively, if my car is a MK 5 or a MK 6. Some places treat it as a simple MK 5, others as a 5.5 Facelift, and still others seem to think it's a MK 6. Regasrdless it seems my rear lights are seeming closer to MK 6 lights, and boy howdy do I wish I'd found your video before I ordered the wrong bulbs. Thanks for the useful (moreso than the info I got from my local Ford dealer here in Germany) information, I've subscribed and bookmarked you :D

My brake lights dont work but the rear lights do work when their on? Do i steel need to change them?

On mine when removing the rear light cluster there is also a screw behind the light itself that needs removing from inside the boot.

Thought the reverse was a 955 or doesn't that number matter?

955 is just another 'alternative' reference for W16W. You could use either 👍
