The farming district should be named as "Windy Fields".

yes that name is perfect
Fields of Golding! I am honoured! I also have a choice name for an Ore Industry build, just putting it out there 🤣 Great build, this one! Really dug the way you filled the spaces, the whole area tied together so well! And that pan-around of the fields against the highway with the mountains in the background at 33:16 is just 👌
Your ability to create a great suburb out of a little odd shaped parcel of land is fantastic. Keep doing what you're doing as its fascinating to watch it
Hey I really like this build guide, it’s super satisfying seeing all the little people walking👍🏻 I hope you keep going with this series for a long time

We certainly will, long way to go yet 😌 thanks for watching ❤️
Found your channel yesterday and have been binging this series. I really like how structured your videos are. All episodes feel purposeful. You're great at decorating and road mapping as well. It's just really satisfying and entertaining to watch this city come together and expand!
I love how expansive and green the farm area is. It looks so beautiful.
I noticed that trucks coming from the service interchange go to the fields passing through the village. I think they should have and exclusive access to the fields. Great video, thank you so much!
Amazing build again, love the closeness of residential and industrial. I think the furniture factory should be where you suggested at the end, between the fields and the forestry somewhere. Always these wonderful industrial builds. It is nice that the fields cover a large area, a bit more realistic. :) Fields besides roads/motorways is not only in the UK. ;)
Adding an agricultural heartland around the city with little towns and fields divided by hedgerows mixed with larger fields and barns really makes the city look more alive. I love the use of bush/tree rows to make more organic shaped plots!
I'd love to see the furniture factory between the two industrial zones. Locally made furniture with locally sourced materials, maybe some commercial/office spaces to complement it?
I'm so happy that I missed out on this channel for a while, I'm bingewatching the hell out of this series
I have been subscribed and watching your channel for years now. You shouldn't be shocked at all by the channels growth. One of my favourites to watch. You give me inspiration and teach me new things. Also make me laugh quite often. I always have your videos on while I play at the same time. Much love from London.
Just what I need, I'm not feeling to good today so this just brighten my day. Thanks Egg

Love those rows of rock as edges for paths, feels like the remains of the historic rock fences that were built near me

I haven't ever seen rock borders for pathways and now I totally want to try it.
The little details you put in make such a huge difference, that diagonal shapped field with silo looks great around the rest!
It wouldn't be a good monday without a new Build Guide! Thanks for rocking all that content. I bet this will be nice.

Yay, Noveria shoutout! ❄ Finally catching up with all the Orchid Bay content. You've been a machine recently! Love the cuteness of this. So much inspiration!
super excited for this one! binged the rest of the series over the last few days and it's exactly what i've been looking for - relaxing and engaging. thank you for doing what you're doing!!! gonna watch this and continue working through the ilos series :3

Very good. Really nice to see some UK building in the farm area, really like the fields against the highway. That is something I had not thought about. One thing you need for the village area - a pub!
When I grow up I will build like Egg ( I will never grow up, I missed my prompt 😁) First time I'm glad I left the video for the evening, perfect ending for a not so perfect day. It had everything from potatoes for the Irish to corn thieves, topped up with the always awesome commentary, had me rolling a couple of times. So I guess I just wanted to say Thank You 😊
Love the thought put into this Build Guide! Crop rows using small bushes is very clever!
I literally love this series! In the last days I’ve been watching this even if I played cities skylines for the last time like 7 months ago. Plus I really like your style so keep it up man !
Has to be my favourite build of the series so far, the patchwork fields vibe looks amazing, and it all looks so clean. Can't wait to see what's next!
Loved the farm! Seems so much more natural than just fields and industry. Also that Noveria callback
Hey Egg, glad you liked the idea the build looks amazing! Can't wait to see what you do next!
Another great one OE! I actually used that interchange recently in my city got it from your video. It does function extremely well. I know you didn't use the fruit fields in this farm but I've found that dropping in some fruit trees around the farm are useful too as "vanilla" fields too. I think popping in the furniture factory in between the 2 industrial areas might be a good shout. as everything expands could be a good spot to maybe drop in a few other factory assets and tie the whole area as a small Industrial park.
just discovered this series and am now catching up, love it
I am guilty of binge watching your awesome videos too. Thank you. I am never actually able to achieve the same look and feel that you seem to get from your builds. But I am improving.
The farmland residential housing should have a “heavy traffic ban” to keep large trucks from moving through it. They can use the junction after the entrance into the neighborhood (the second junction from the highway) if that makes sense
Another wonderful and thoughtful video. Always gives me so much inspiration!
It's beautiful, it inspires me a lot to do my own cities with this look.
I am so in love with this series. Love watching you build and explain. (:

Tend to have to use the Industrial roads for more rural type areas, the poured concrete look works a bit better than the majority with sidewalks. Would be nice to have a more rural 2 and 4 lane road, perhaps with ditches along the sides.
I really liked the furniture factory in the farm :) The "fake" fields are my favourite thing to include in my own cities since I first saw you do this in other videos. And as always, supurb build! Orchid Bay is the best!
Love your farm! Planned on creating a nice little farm town tonight in my city. Will definitely use some of this.
Nicely filled in that spot near the highway, love the aesthetics of fields against the highway. I had a good laugh at the three things in life that are guaranteed 😆 This has given me quite some interesting ideas and thoughts on variations of such a farm build in this spot, thanks for all the inspiration you're providing with this series.

Death, taxes, and something on fire during the detailing overview? (:
Amazing as always! I tend to struggle creating industrial parks. They always start nice and then fall apart. I’d love to see one out by the highway that includes the furniture factory and some warehouses.
It looks great, It reminds me of the annual drive to the East coast (Skegness) for the family holiday when I was a lad
This is a gorgeous, very Egg-esque build. But when I finished watching it I thought it reminded me of something. And that something was episode #58 of Begusia. Way back then you built a lovely Green Cities / Farming town. I so enjoyed re-watching it, and seeing how far you've come and how much more professional your presentation is. Francis Farms is the more polished version of that much earlier build. And as a cute side note, it's also the episode where you admit to learning the difference between Botanical and Biotanical gardens. A must watch for a walk down memory lane. At the time I didn't think any builder could be better than you, but you are now so so much better, so I don't know if I was right or wrong. I do know that was right to keep watching and learning from you.
Great video Egg! I do think a large vehicle ban wouldn't be inappropriate for the new suburb. The trucks are cutting through and i think there's a bit much. Nevertheless does it look great, excited to see how it grows!
New drinking game- every time OE gives that classic chuckle... have a sip!
I get so happy when these drop. Thanks egg
Thanks for the ideas! I think a few small hobby farms would be a nice addition.
I really like these sorts of builds. Good job.
Every video of yours always gives me new ideas and inspiration for this game! Great work as always
Love the video and the build again Egg. The only bad thing is that I can’t many other KZreadrs anymore building in a less pleasing ecstatic 😂
Thanks for the entertainment as always, cheers mate
Really enjoy a rural farm build. I've overbuilt plenty of industry in the past so it is good to let industry stay small with homes mixed in.
the first reaction as I saw you vid was giving you a
That looks so good and realistic!
Francis Farms! What a spicy name! Thank you for all the wonderful content and friendship that you've given us over the years, I appreciate you a ton. Keep up the amazing work - this was another wonderful build!
Loving this so much. Looks amazing 👏

Brilliant again ! Thanks
Very inspiring work!!
This city is looking so great! You might top Noob Yolk by the time it’s done 👀. I don’t know if you already have the downtown planned but I had an idea that you could do it in two parts, with an old town/historic district using lots of brick assets (like the school of medicine) which would sit on the coast and then also do a more modern downtown with your usual skyline on that island where you were planning on building the downtown. The old/ new contrast could be really nice!!!!
i just catch up with the episodes. Really nice work and use from the vanilla items as a console player with all the limitations that a console has for this game i get a lot of ideas to how make more realistics cities. That little farm town can be named Smallville because the original name of the farm was kent so i think its something must have and its a nice little dc easter egg
I'm not going to say i was waiting so much for the first rural build but... i kinda was.. gonna enjoy this one!
Another great episode thanks egg!
The green suburb at the start reminds me a lot of Pretoria. Very underrated city with its Jacaranda trees and sandstone buildings
Thanks for all the ideas !

Thanks for the comment!
Amazing series, I look forward to watching it every time I see a new episode release. The farm village aesthetic is really nice. Also, I think your lane math is not quite right on the new service interchange, you added turning lanes where there are already slip lanes.
You forgot to add this video to the playlist, Great vid
I would love to see a sleepy little fishing village very rural and far away from the city once all tiles are open! Gives opportunity to expand trains out there too!
Awesome video!
I'm really late to the party this series (which is excellent--thank you so much!) has become, so hopefully you see this comment, but I've noticed you often talk about using wind turbines in farming areas as if you aren't sure if that's a common thing, or only something that's common in smaller states/countries, or in more mountainous areas. I've lived in and around the central Midwest of the US nearly all my life, where there are thousands of acres of flat farmland--specifically thinking of Illinois, my home state, where driving north/south through the center of the state is literally 8-10 hours of farm land (with a break for towns and the state capital)--and, more often than not, especially in state counties pushing for renewable energy, you will see miles of wind turbines spread out literally in the middle of farm fields and orchards. It's a very common thing, especially as it gives farmers another way of remaining viable throughout the year, as well as during bad droughts/floods/weather, or, in the case of apple orchards (also really common in the upper central Midwest), too much climate change for the proper length of winter/cold-snap to allow for a quality apple harvest in the fall. It also provides tax breaks and subsidies, which are, again, incredibly important to farmers here in the States. So, tl;dr, seeing fields of wind turbines in flat, rural farm areas is absolutely common here in the Midwest, especially as more and more state counties (and entire states, hopefully) are encouraging and giving breaks for farmers who expand into wind turbines and/or solar energy (though solar is less versatile here, as they lose a lot of acreage to it, so wind turbines threaded through the fields are usually the better option logistically). Watching you add the turbines in this episode just made so much sense to me, and actually made it feel even more like a rural farming community than they often look in this game when others attempt it. So, wonderful video, wonderful series, and great job all around!
That 'main' road through the little town look like it needs the four lane small road, at least up to the post office. Allows buses to be passed easier, and it's without parking like a rural thoroughfare. Love the build though. Your farms are always delightful
Really love the series wish we got it more frequently 😢
Another great video!
Chill time ❤
Commenting for the support. Keep it up
I'm not a new player, which I feel this series is directed to, but I'm still loving this town and learning things. It's a great series OE

@@DashboardCookies for sure, today I learned how to use bushes to make fields...brilliant!
I literally flinched at 1:06. 🤣🤣
best cities skyliner on all of youtube
I like to structure my farms, potato, corn, wheat, cotton. It kinda makes me think of stages of growing. Just growing, grown, ready to harvest, and then harvested. Spent the majority of my life in crop farming towns. There's always fields with varying levels of plant age.
Farms are by freeways and highways here in the usa as well use to fall asleep watching all the corn fly by as a kid fs
Eh up Egg! Loving the series. How about incorporating the riding stables in to the farm build? Just a thought 😊 Also would you do a European style high density area? Ta x

New subscriber here and loving this series. I hope you do like a zoo in an island. :)
You don't want to have street lights next to the greenhouses. The light coming into the houses will mess with the photoperiod of the plants.
Another chilled episode, also so happy, if rumours are true, that us console players are getting more tiles.....👍👍👍👍
ban heavy traffic in the little villages, love your videos keep it going :)
I think the factory will be nice with the new farm layout close to the residential area, just like Cadburys did with their workforce.
love the build egg
I think think it would be cool if there was a ccp or other dlc that had new pre-built interchanges we could place because the vanilla ones don't always work.
Near the new farms I think if possible a Large Solar power generation facility could possibly work, keeping with that theme of Green fields and renewable energy.
Hey maybe you could add some policies to the farm suburb that stops all the farm vehicles going through the town. Unless that’s the vibe you’re going for.
This city is turning out to be such a vibe.
Maybe it's just me, but I think the furniture factory could look cool in the middle of the forest/wooded section on the left at 35:42, almost like it's been abandoned and reclaimed by nature. I think the whole overgrown industry aesthetic is really nice and could make for an interesting build. It pairs nicely with the little village next to it too - it could've employed the people there in the past but economic conditions led to a decline and the farm took over. I'm not sure how the idea would actually look in reality though.
what mods do i need to install to get all this farm stuff? I dont think i even have an industry buildings tab on my city skylines
Now you should go on and make some service campuses like a hospital and you should bring your trainstation down to the farm/forestry districts because business seems to be booming down there and a rural transition would be grate.
Add a riding school park. Lots of UK farms have them as a side business
I ended up building my university on the hill across from the green cities build from last week.
If Cities II has an option to play Arcade and Simulator modes, now that'd be pretty cool. You could geek out and sim all day. Then you could switch modes to just bang out a super gamey city.
Unsure if you did already, but maybe you can ban highway traffic in the little Subaru next to the farm, so that they prioritise the arterial road next to it instead.
Thank you for the ⚠️ warning ⚠️ about the water pipes! You saved me from a fit.

this is awesome! one thing, does pollution destroy fertile land? if it does, having the furniture factory up against the fields will drop their production rate. not the end of the world either way but i thought i'd drop a comment about it. loving the series so far and it's making me play again, rather than just watching playthroughs haha
