If Patriots take JJ McCarthy at three he needs to sit for the 2024 season. McCarthy can't carry a team as a rookie even with good players available at the top of round 2.

@@willjoyce5013 he played 7 seasons. Never had a bad year he was a awesome QB. Didn't have much around him either. Name the WR that was so good he had when he was putting up 4000+ every year? T.Y. Hilton was the best one& pkayed the slot. Luck basically made him. He had no career outside of Indi.

I disagree. I think the Commanders as an organization have recent ties to North Carolina when they took QB Sam Howell in 2022, and they like NC QB Drake Maye better for what they're looking to build than someone like Jayden Daniels. When the Commanders take Maye, look for a trade to occur and someone to move up into the 3 spot on a trade with the Patriots, because I think the Patriots don't want Daniels either. Not at the 3 spot.

I love all the media. Keep saying they know Caleb is going first. Were they on the field with Chicago when they spent hours with Caleb Jaden and Drake? Were they in the rooms with them. Doing all these these one on ones? Not know Chicago fell in love with Drake or Jaden? Are they really going to risk their whole franchise on a barely 6’1” quarterback I wouldn’t I would take the 6’4” tanning of the arm who is only 21 years old and has massive potential. That’s who I would take if I was Chicago. Not short QB who was in college college, but probably won’t be in the NFL. Reminds me of Zach Wilson. Make exciting throws can move in the pocket but too short for the game.

This is stupid. As a Pats fan we could find the best guy in the draft at 3 and he'd die on our team, we should trade back and get a WR1 plus linemen. Tank next year and draft a QB high then so the poor kid's not getting slaughtered from the get-go like say Joe Burrow with a line they've been cobbling together his entire time there

How about you draft the QB now sit him for a year and see how your team does. Cause odds are you won’t be top 3 pick again. So why risk that for a WR1 when a WR1 isn’t a WR1 without the QUARTERBACK.

@@arod2394 odds are we will be again, we should've been 2 this year as is outside of winning meaningless games I'm ok sitting a guy but unlikely with how the league goes nowadays plus we could get as good a QB next year DHop and a few others have still been WR1s with randos at QB, plus then the rookie WR will be there for the QB as a year 2 guy. As is his best reciever is Hunter Henry

Yeah I would wait till next year for a QB. You have an owner that will support you so grab MHJr at 3 or trade down and get another wr/oline. Jacob will be ok this year but you’ll have a better QB option next year. These QB aren’t it even if you set them. Pats need help on offense
