Yeah I hear that a lot AGR
Nice van. Eager to see more like it
Every video I'm back watching you're giving me a new idea and the van bug. 🤠👍
Wow I like the different floor plan especially with the entrance, not having the cabinets or refrigerator there. Also the track setup definitely expands options without closing the floor permanently. I could see this working for disabled people with wheelchairs to anchor the chair with the tracks. The induction stoves are a smart idea because of safety but you must have induction rated pots. Last the nonslip flooring is smart

Yeah I thought you would find this interesting my friend 😁👍🏾
Great information my friend. That’s it, just increase the temptation to spend more money😁👍🏽
Thank you for asking about wheelchair accessible adaptions.
Love both of you. Great Team! Best video yet. ty for asking him so many questions and showing each van completely. Welcome to AZ...🌵💜😊🦋🐕🐈🌼🌻🌵
Thank you for the great interview with Jonny at Field Vans. And it was also neat meeting you both at the Overland Expo. We also met many of the Field Van owners in the “Field of Dreams” section of the campground. We visited Fresno and toured their business. It is very impressive. And we are just starting to finalize selections for our own Field Van build. Your interview was definitely most helpful. The Field Van people are are really great to work with; but sometimes you don’t know the questions to ask … and you did! Thanks again.
That last Transit was Sweet, many possibilities .... Thanks for this video :-)

YW Billy thanks for watching
Flor plans for all. No need for all those cabinets and drawers that take up space and add weight. I like the flexibility to choose, custom, and done professionally. Thanks.

YW, glad I came across these guys…for sure I wish bigger builders would try some of this stuff…

That’s what I was thinking. While some might like the idea of permanent cabinets. Having the room to move around is better in my opinion.
Well done. Really enjoy these tours. The 3 ded pop top Transit looks great 👍
Excellent job on this one...very informative and a lot covered. Jonny is also a very good presenter and does very good reviews of their vans.
Great interview! Jonny, the president of Field Vans, and to their team do a great job. Preset layouts covering all needs or you can do a complete custom setup. Keep an eye on this outstanding company.

You’re welcome Laurie 😁
Amazing showing of the goods!!!
I like the movable table base. I’m always trying to design things that have multiple functions since space and weight is limited in a van.
That was cool. So much good info about company products
Cool review!
I just noted some of their upper cabinets have vertical fronts and some of them are slanted backwards quite a bit. Obviously the ones that slant backwards don’t hold nearly as much due to that gravity thing
Wow that’s a lot of space used just for an inverter! If it puts out so much heat that it needs that much space it’s gonna make your van very hot in the summer and a lot of the electricity it puts out will have to be used to chill the heat it generates. Seems like it oughta be located outside the van
How many people can sleep in the Ford van?
Those roll down window insulators do not seal along the sides so air will be able to circulate and that is one of the three ways heat transfers in or out so their efficiency is limited compared to the removable type that seals on all four sides with magnets.
If you’re gonna leave the foot well open in the bed you’re gonna need to have separate blankets or else the cold air is going to come in through that
Lola’s right, they should have it so the induction cooker can be removed and taken outside which is where most people wanna cook. Odd they thought about that for the table but not for the cooktop

@@strangerpalooza Thanks Bruh!
Hank I can’t believe you didn’t ask him to show you how the section of upper bed that’s “dangling” is raised and lowered
What good is a five-year warranty if you don’t stock parts?
I noticed the drawer pulls on the galley cabinet are facing down like they were designed to be used and the drawer pulls on the upper cabinets are facing up and there’s no way that both of those are going to be comfortable for your fingers. I suspect opening the other upper cabinets is actually going to require a two-handed process to avoid breaking your finger
I don’t understand why the butcher block thickness around the sink lip looks to be much less than an inch, but he says it’s 2 inch butcher block. they could’ve routed it out but what would be the purpose? With the sink faucet so close to the edge of the wood and the butcher block routed so thin there I think they created a weak point where the wood is bound crack
Is anybody actually getting rock chips in the paint on the hood of their 4 x 4 sprinter? It’s so high off the road
What’s the purpose of having a shower that requires a shower curtain but still having a bifold rigid door? You’re gonna need to leave the door open after you take a shower so the shower curtain can dry out and not mold so the door is going to be in your way for at least 30 min after shower, and it adds cost and weight and might even become prone to rattling after a few years
How do most people figure out what height they want the bed before you build it to a specific height? That’s something you’re not gonna figure out until you’ve lived in it
Those roll down window insulators won’t work in the back door windows. Should have had him grab them to show how they worked. Should focus your tours on the OEM products the builder makes instead of the non OEM products
I’m not a big fan of the look of big box retailer style 2” thick heavy butcher block countertops made out of scrap lumber with butt joints. I think even Home Despot discontinued it. I’d go with an inch and a half thickness and better quality wood like hard maple which is traditional due to food safety
Again on that second van they have this bulky heavy rigid bifold shower door that doesn’t keep the water in so it has to have a shower curtain behind it so why bother with the rigid door? It even constructs movement more than a shower curtain would since it doesn’t appear to be designed to have the ability to stay partially open while you take a shower, giving you more elbow room like some designs. Since it opens to the front, in the event of a front collision it would probably pop open allowing the mirror glass to get broken and go flying toward the back of the driver’s head
I’d like to see photos or video of their “crush test” compared to Mercedes “crush test”. I’ve never heard of a car manufacturer doing a crush test, just crash tests. The question that should’ve been asked is how much weight does a add to the van? Many years ago when I bought a BMW convertible they said that it actually weighed 400 pounds more than the sedan because of the beefed up beam hidden under the door threshold. The same is going to be true on this pop-up roof if they indeed beefed it up like he claims. I cut out most of one roof strut and almost 9 ft.² of roofing on my Sprinter and I can tell you the material I removed weighed very little But whatever they would have to add to be beefed up would weigh much more, but what do I know, I’m just a retired structural engineer.
Not a fan of plastic laminate or its plastic edge banding
Those upper cabinets are not very deep and won’t hold much
Ah yes, the driver-side sideswipe ladder. Easy way to do $10-20K damage to your van. Over the years I’ve had friends and acquaintances that got sideswiped going 5 miles an hour and that got sideswiped on the freeway so it’s a very common thing
Well he may “like it open” but the front door to 99.99% of the homes in the US are only 36 inches wide so why would you want a van to have a 5 foot wide opening the side? Tons of storage” is a cliche usually used for vans that don’t have that much. I think that model that is most popular is because without many expensive cabinets and especially expensive drawers it is cheaper.
The words extra and storage do not belong in the same sentence in my life. Carmakers specify the cubic feet for the trunk or for the rear area and it’s time that somebody starts publishing comparison charts that list the cubic feet of storage for various van models or various van cabinets. There will be some reluctant manufacturers who won’t want to admit how small their cabinets are but when their numbers are left off is not available on a chart they’ll come around. That could be great Clickbait for your channel hank.
Talk is cheap. It’s real easy to say something is removable. fact is, the seats in every car ever made are removable. the question is, is it such a pain in the ass that you won’t ever bother. Whenever someone says somethings removable you should ask them if they will remove it on camera.
