The Field of Flowers is a sound sculpture that was original created by Paul Dresher and Daniel Schmidt (and assisted by Alex Vittum) as part of the theatrical work Schick Machine (2009). In 2015, a new version, shown in this video, was built (largely by Alex Vittum) for the new traveling interactive exhibition, Sound Maze. In early 2020, Dresher and Vittum updated the design and rebuilt it into the form shown here.
