I’m 63. I went to Policy Genius recently. I was able to get more life insurance coverage for less monthly premium! Thanks for the recommendation Cornstar Farm Family.
DC so glad you put safety first when working on the equipment, I lost my Dad on 12/5/83 he was welding on a tractor with the bucket up and a spark hit the hydraulic hose and the bucket came down and crushed him to death! I watch Cole too and he's all about safety first , hope he got that from you😊

No horsing off! 😂 This reminds me of my youngest son when he was a teen. I was upset with him for a reason I do not remember. He interrupted and said "don't throw a cow, mom."
I love how you address this topic with such honesty.
Take good care of little ellie .we really love her❤
Can’t wait to tell my kids, “hey no more horsin ’ off”.
I always like your videos, they’re always so interesting and educating to know what Farm life is all about.
You raised a hard working family! Great job Dad!
Great video keep moving forward. Remember when Sable helped with the planter maint. and putting out a fire out in the field, if you see her have her give us a shout out.
I operated heavy equipment for large contractors. The rule was about always 200 hours. I think it depends on how hard you work it. I was fast but I worked the steel like a rented mule.
I fell into a burning ring of fire!🔥 I went down, down, down and the flames went higher and it burns, burns, burns that ring of fire!😂 🔥
think on this if you light up your feilds then till them the nutrients from the chaft will return in to the soil quicker and you wont need row cleaners to push the chaf out of the way in the spring and the only thing that would afect the planter is the roots
Love the 4840 John Deere. Back from what I ran in the day. I remember when that was a big dog and still is to me. Take care D C and Ellie sure looks cute in that seat.
corn fields are already planted in central Texas
Ellie was so cute in skid loader seat!
I never just wash my main face DC. You're so funny 😂😂😂
The suspense on where the leak is, is making me keep a sharp eye out for the next video.
You amazed me how you keep on top of everything within your machine shop and everything with the business.
You rock DC and Ellie is a cutie
Hard to believe the 4840 was a big tractor back then an as old as me . Awesome video
Add Ultraviolet dye to the hydraulic oil and use a Blacklight to find the leak. 12:27 🎉
That's a little tiny field fire..😊
Nice work with all the vehicle maintenance ! 👍
Thank you DC! Always love your channel!
I'm with you on oil changes. My van has twenty thousand miles or two years oil changes I just can't leave it in that long. It gets once a year change that's about eight thousand miles and every other change a flush. I know our john deere tractors had long oil changes but only with the long life oil I used good oil but not long life oil and did 150 hour changes. And a good groan helps everything as you get older especially getting off the floor, I'm sure 10 years ago the floor wasn't as far down as it is now. Love your videos.

Coop and DC doing the real work while Cole plays Mike Holmes
I think the air filter is called a pre-cleaner, to get the bigger particles out of the intake air so the air filter can get the rest.
Always a pleasure to hear/see daddy Cornstar. Please please put on eye safety glasses while working under your equipment 😮❤ PS… Ellie needs to rest after all that running ❤❤
Great job, D.C. , lovely to see you and Cooper back, looking forward to the planting season.😁👌👌❤️❤️
Take care from Saskatchewan,Canada
Thanks and GOD BLESS 😀
Daddy corn Star you have a fabulous farm. I bet your daddy would be so proud of you and your family. I’m just happy to watch you. I feel like I’m part of the family with you anyways God’s blessings till next time.
Enjoyed the AD!
Great video DC. thank you
A fire skid from QTAC will help since it's second one on farm
Hairline cracks in the bolt flange on hydraulic motors will leak but only under load. Very sneaky things those flanges. Check closely. 👀
It would be awesome to see Daddy cornstar rock on a D8 across the field with a root plow shattering the soil. Prepping the soil for seeding.
Great job and loved the video 😘👍🏻💕🙏🏻🙏🏻
DC I am with you on equipment maintenance
Hopefully them new titan tires last longer then the old titan tires did! They always cracked and split long before the the tires were wore out!
groaning while getting up and down makes jobs 15% more efficient

When my wife hears me doing it, she goes “are you ok?” I always respond “ yes honey, I’m just making my old man noises.”
YOU are on fire DC !
Another great video
Awesome always
“Power warsh”. 😂
You're for the best ❤
Great video
I know we're strangers but we've gotten so invested in your family's adventures, we get scared for you all to be safe. Hope you have a safe successful planting season ahead!
How did the fire start
The second I heard DC say, oh it only has 90 hours, we don't need to change the oil, I thought... nah, he's definitely going to change the oil. He's an oil-changing machine!
What caused the fire in the field stubble?
When the manufacturar of the Skidsteer says 500h oilchange intervals its 500h. There is absolutely no need for undercutting it even below 50% of this intervalss^^ This machine is made für hervy dirt and constructions work with lot of full throttle hours in one week. The load you put on it is rather lightweight with it. I am allways impressed of the short oilchange intervals in amerika. Every else in the world the intervalls are way way longer. After breaking in there is Definetely no need for changing oil in this short cycles if the manufacturer says otherwise.
I know what you are saying daddy cornstar about following oil change intervals because most auto companies are saying 10,000 miles I think that’s nuts on new cars I change 1 st time at 1000 miles to get all impurities out than every 3000 miles there after
Is horsing off anything like horsing around?
They should hire you. I would buy one from you. good job.
D.C. the oils are much better than the old ones. If the manual says 500 then go close to 500.
We are planting now

You should tell us the general area where you farm
DC - ranchers in the plains periodically burn their pastures to enable stronger re-growth of native grasses. Would a controlled burn of the left over corn stalks enrich your soil? Have Cole keep track of yield in that area that burned by comparison to the surrounding area.

Many potential nutrients go up in smoke. What's left after a fire is available sooner to the plants.
What stated the fire? Did you put a extra windshield for the JCB on the shelf?
Thank you for the consistent content and the consistency in your personality. Your son is not anything like he used to be sadly. He needs a seaving of humble pie. You are the rock on the farm
Safety first DC
Y'all should try to purchase an old school fire truck
Dcaf man 😂
At least Cole didn’t start the fire this time.
yessir
I don't think Ellie is Cooper's dog. 😆
Have a nice day.
Your main face?🤣😂
Daddy cornstar is the best where's Cole and ronnan❤
points at a skid loader with giant JCB on the side of it and calls it a CASE. Hmmm I thought he could read? Must just be old eyes. Yeah, that's it.
Hey Everybody I'm Watching Daddy The Cornstar🙃
Hey DC - for a non farmer like myself , can you explain why you need so many different tractors? I know you need several for the type of operation you have but couldn’t you just have one that fits all needs ? Or do all the them serve a particular purpose? I would thing from a maintenance perspective, it would be easier to have them all the same. Keep up the great work.
@ProblemChild-xk7ix

It takes several, people operating tractors at the same time during planting and harvest seasons to complete the work that must be done in the available time. You only have so long to get the seeds in the ground and to harvest your crop. One machine means you can farm far fewer acres.
@wendy833

@stwvenbeaucaire1161, many hands make work lighter is the saying. They have a lot of acreage with various crops. So many operating at the same time on different fields to process all that work.
I ❤ ELLIE MAE❤
Dear DADDY "Genuis" CORNSTAR, spell the word described by to clean, starts with W ends with H 😂
😊
Content must be getting scarce have to start a fire in the field !
Is Cole's father now Daddy Cornstar or Grandpa Cornstar? A discussion needs to be had.

It's disgusting how you call A4840A little tractor you know in your day and my day that was a huge track
hopefully the dog does not engage the thing while you are under it
Thank god for fast forward. Can’t stand the ads
Did you ever have to spank the kids when they were younger
WOW. nice clickbait, unsubscribed.
Drive the skid steer up on long blocks to get more room to work under it but still be level
Great video DC hope everyone is doing well won’t be long before you guys are planting praying for everyone a safe planting season tomorrow is the big eclipse I happen to live in Indiana and will get the complete eclipse can’t wait
That’s a good dog kind of like my little Emmy
