This brings back some fond memories. My co-workers and I used to play a little game of chicken called "nut spinning" in the machine shop I worked in back in the 80's. Somebody would drop a ¾" steel hex nut onto the shaft of a small screwdriver and, while holding it horizontally at waist level, direct a blast of 100 psi shop air across the top of the nut. The nut would instantly spin up to 50,000, 70,000, 90,000 or higher RPM and gyroscopic forces would keep it vertical. If you were really good, you could get the nut spinning so fast that you could slide out the screwdriver and the nut would generate just enough lift to stay suspended in the air stream. Relieved of the friction of the screwdriver shaft, the nut was free to spin up so fast that its whine would go ultrasonic and become silent. It gave the phrase "silent but deadly" a whole new meaning. The rules of the game allowed anybody who didn't want to play, ten seconds to leave the shop after hearing the nut spin up. At the end of the ten second countdown, those remaining had to stay where they were as the guy holding the screwdriver tilted it down a bit, dropping the whining nut, which hit the concrete floor in a spray of sparks. Usually it would bounce in place a time or two until one of its steel flats smacked the floor hard. In an instant, the nut became a screaming bullet ricocheting off of walls, machinery and occasionally, people. I still remember that sound.... ping... ping... ping... THUD! OWWW! Anyone who flinched, ducked or dove for cover was disqualified. It sometimes took 5 or 6 rounds before we had a winner. Oh yes, there was a small amount of damage and occasionally, a little blood. I once managed to take out an 8 foot quad fluorescent light fixture when a heavy ⅞" hex nut took a crazy first bounce and shot 18 feet straight up to the ceiling like a rifle shot, just grazing the tip of my nose on the way up. The sting made my eyes water. That craziness came to an abrupt end one day when one of our best nut spinners managed to shoot out the shop foreman's office window while he was away at lunch. As far as I can recall, nobody died.

We used to do this with water hose and jet nozzle vs. a bicycle wheel. Pretty cool, it spin so fast the tire would fly apart. Anyway, good video thumbs up!

Sometime back in the 80s I was playing with a front wheel bearing during my lunch break, it had been removed from a Ford pickup, I was having fun spinning it with the shop's air hose (90 psi). Seemed fun until it flew apart sending the small cone roller bearings in every direction. I was very lucky for doing such a foolish act. some of the rollers tore through the shops tin wall. Parts hit my left hand, I think God that one didn't penetrate my skull.

The reason it exploded because of nitro is cold and cold makes thing contradict and it wigged out of place and 🤯

Unicorn will be easy to beat because he will break while there racing #LeroytheSavage

Guys you need to take into consideration that the NOS is -80ºC below freezing in liquid form, so the NOS coming out of the end of that pipe is going to freeze whatever it is blowing on, hence it will make it brittle and break easier..!

AIRBUS A320 NEO the reason why the fidget spinner looks foggy is because, the NOS was freeezing it, with a compressed gas like NOS, it reaches extremely cold temperatures once the gas is better let out.

This is spinner 1 to spinner 8365 we have a problem spinner 2 exploded because he was to much sonic and got high of of NOS

When I clicked on this video, the loading screen turned into a fidget spinner.

Please don't let Isis know what fidget spinners can be capable of ! But Cletus you are a WILD MAN !

The reason he's the only one in Florida to hurt himself with a spinner is not only due to the speed he ran it, but because the only protection he wore were safety goggles. No face protection and he was wearing a t-shirt and shorts for god sake. He's very lucky thats all that happened to him. Still a cool video. Thumbs up.
