Fiberwerx Ford Raptor Trophy Truck Body on HONCHO 2!

We are using the Ford Raptor trophy truck body from Fiberwerx in the build of our next desert race truck. This is the first time I have worked with a fiberglass body from Fiberwerx and it did not come with any instructions...that's ok. In this video I assemble the trophy truck body using some 2x4s so that I can start taking some dimensions to insert into BendTech and Fusion 360 to cut on my Langmuir Systems CrossFire XR. This is going to be a cool build.

Love the channel!! What was your motivation to stick with the factory ECU and not go aftermarket with something like a Terminator X? Guessing transmission control? Thanks again for the great videos and content!!

F100 Mustang. Your build is looking awesome. You have a great eye for design and dimensions. Kids crack me up too. I am keeping the ecu and harness to keep cost under control. There are 100 things I could upgrade, but that makes project costs go crazy. This is just me, but I hate a project that I have too much money into. I am always thinking about how to sell it.

@@ntdracing Yeah I get that. I’m definitely on a budget also and have learned the hard way doing the “well while I’m here I might as well do this too” which turns into a stalled project or something you will never get your money back out of. I’m with you on having the kids in the shop with me, it’s great bonding and learning lifelong skills with dad!
I’m excited to follow the build of your new truck. Is the ultimate plan to race both trucks at all the races?

The plan is to have both trucks racing in this year’s Baja 1000 - fingers crossed the new build goes smoothly. Before that we will race HONCHO! in a few races - first up the MINT 400 in just 3 weeks.
Which fiberglass fenders did you get? Are they the 6100 trophy truck or the trophy truck fiberglass … im trying to get the same once you have
