thought so. Not a good driver.

Most of these could do better with quicker shifting and shifting closer to the rev limit.

poor shifting

My friends mom had a 1.9 diesel stilo, it was the first diesel i ever drove, the torque blew my nuggin on the autobahn.

For some reason, that torque feels stronger when driving than on paper.

That 1.6 is 103 hp and 145 Nm, the 105 hp engine is only from 2006, and that is an Opel engine.

Fiat's 1.6 16V engine is really successful, also they used it in different models.

You are right, but ECU problems on this model were reason for people to stay away. I know how it is, third ECU for me so far. 😢 I have no idea on what kind of drugs were those guys, when they decided to put such sensitive piece of electronics on top of the engine, engine heat and vibrarions are reason for those modules to go bad as time passes by. Repairing is not succesful most of the times, and repair shops just wont do any repairs, because module fails in very short time after repair.

there are repair shops that offer moving ECU from problematic space... At least in my country, once you move it to safer spot then no problems.@@matijadaljevec6916

That 1.2 could've been a bit quicker if there wasn't such poor clutch control and short shifting... Edit: the 1.4 is WORSE!

Can you do the Abarth 500 range (1.4, trofeo, tourismo, comp etc)?

My dad had fiat stilo abarth BUT with 250hp and it was doing 0-100km/h in 5,6 sec

1.9 150 bhp can do th 0-60 sprint in 8.3 seconds if driven properly 👍

Given the fact that the Bravo had a 2.0 5 cylinder and developed around 155 hp and was the generation before the Stilo, the 2.4 should have easily produced 185 hp. As it was developed a few years later they could have at least got another 5 to 10 HP out of it. The 2.4 abarth should have had easily around 190hp or more. What a lump.

2.4 Should have 185hp... But has only 170. Some 1.6 engines had 100hp, other had 170. All natural aspirated.

Down shift was good on those boxes

I got fiat stilo 1.9jtd originaly 115hp but pushed to 165hp , 0-100km in 7.1s
