That is the best spider 124 video I have seen yet! It's amazing how many custom options there are for the outstanding Abarth. Your channel is criminally underrated! Superb quality video and the music was transcending. I would pay you to narrate my life! Intrepidly awesome bro! 😎😎😎
The cinematography, the writing, the narration---high quality, the best. I enjoyed this video the way I enjoy an excellent book: I was taken in and forgot about my surroundings. Love it.
Honestly if it wasn't for this video, I wouldn't be a 124 Spider Abarth owner. I remember three years ago, working at a dental office I'd watch this video once a week or so on my lunch break. I'd sit in the back of my Saturn Vue just day dreaming of owning one of these cars, it being the first "BIG GOAL" of my life as a 19 year old. Everyday I'd watch POV videos, reviews, look at photos. I even drew a picture of a 124 Spider Abarth on a sticky note to place on my work computer as motivation, for a year and a half I worked my butt off. There was something about this car that stood out, the character, it was unique compared to it's other competitors and I didn't care that it wasn't the fastest. All I can say is thank you @Track Day, this video pushed me in the right direction. After owning the car for 2 and a half years, I can confidently say it was one of best decisions I have ever made!!

@Devan O I’m really glad that I could help you make the right decision. I stand by what I said 3 years ago and that the Abarth 124 is truly one of those cars that feel unique in it’s own way. I still have my 124 Spider even though I’ve went through a few other sports cars already. Enjoy!
I love my 124. This video is pretty comical. The tone is hilarious.
I own one of these cars already and am jealous. The cinematography work put into this is next level! What an amazing video :)
One of the best car related videos I have come across for a long time .. amazing video and sound quality and oh God the Abarth is my dream car for almost 3 years now I am so in love with this car.. I am so glad I found your channel!
Man, what I love the most about this channel is these reviews of great cars that are underrated or don't cost some body organs to purchase. The impeccable cinematic look is something I can't get enough of!
Amazing video, beginning was so cinematic, feels like I'm watching a movie haha.
Wow.....talk about quality video content!!! I watch your videos and I feel like I'm in a movie theater. I can't pay a higher compliment than that. Unbelievable, great work. Motor Trend or Road and Track should hire you brother.

I've never herd of this car before. I like two seat cars like this. It reminds me of a Honda S2000 mixed with a Mazda Miata. Thanks for making this video otherwise I doubt I'd ever have herd of this car.
Ha! This was cool. Great job matey. beautifully shot and edited. Really enjoyed it!
Really stoked on this video, man. I bought a 2019 Abarth 124 about 2 months ago and I love it. This video made me want to go drive it right now haha. Looking forward to the mod video.

I have a Fiat 500 Abarth but man this video makes we want to upgrade to a 124 Spider Abarth real soon! I am a sucker for light weight affordable sports cars and this fits my style. Nicely done video
Because of this VIDEO I got my 124 Spider Abarth In Red with a manual transmission 2 days ago and it's great.
Nicely done. Truth how everyone here is hung up on HP over performance. I've lost so many muscle cars on the mountain curves with my 500 Abarth cabrio I've lost count, pulled on a Vette once going from light to light (though..only got up to 50 admittedly), or just surprised people on how well it handles..and I'm basically stock. We just got an '80 Fiat Spider earlier this year...and though not a performance car...we really enjoy it as a cruiser for scenic day trips. Driving it just seems to enhance our experiences when out just exploring.
Great Video, i love mine Abarth so much too!
I really hope this channel picks up. I really enjoy your videos

Good work. Can't wait for update videos on this car!

Love this review. Convinced me to buy the Abarth 124.
I love this thing! I drove it at the Abarth track day at the Bondurant Racing School. While I was there because of my Abarth 500, I ended up being able to drive an automatic of this. Very much thinking of getting one for my wife.
The best review of the A124S I've seen. Collecting mine next week.

Nice video! Fun and informative! Great audio of the exhaust! I like your analogy of the 124 Abarth. I'd love one with the standard gearbox. Thanks for posting. I've been on the fence for a vintage TR6, but for almost the same amount of money, I get all the modern technology plus a turbo.

I don't doubt the automatic preforms better. I know the younger generation loves paddle shifters too, but I'm 61 years old. So for me, a standard gearbox is half the fun of driving a sports car! Guess I'm just old school about it. It will also give me that "vintage" feel should I chose to buy new. So many choices out there. Wish I could be like Jay Leno, and have a warehouse full of toys! Us working stiffs, especially us married one's, have to limit our passions! It must be a fun job testing cars!

1999 I leased my first Miata 2002 I bought my second 2010 I sold it and regretted it. Why.. your narration said it perfectly. I just purchased a 2018 abarth for the same reasons you mentioned. Not everyone gets it. But those of us that do really get it. This video is perfect. Good work.
Great video!
It sounds spectacular
I’ve watched this video over half a dozen times now. This video made me consider and then buy a manual 124 spider abarth. Been owning it for 2 years, plan to own it for another 5-10 years at least, just adding more mods and fixing whatever breaks. Previous owner bought an M4 CS after this, and he misses it now. Lightness and low end torque is just a recipe for smiles. The only car I would want over this is a Morgan Plus 4 or Plus 6, if they ever make a manual of the latter. Hope you get to try these 2 out someday!
This video was another level. I worked at a Alfa/Fiat dealer in VT before moving back to CT I had a few runs with one of these. It’s a really fun car.

Sick gatage, I think I’d put my bed in there too so I could be with my spider and Ducati as well. ;) great vid too
My car started with 170 horses. 2012 B7 Passat with a naturally aspirated in-line 5 cylinder engine, Tiptronic single clutch transmission, and front wheel drivetrain. After replacing the muffler with a flow master super 44 stainless steel one, the air box with a stage 2 cold air intake, stainless steel and powder coated, replacing the resonator with a side dump electronically controlled exhaust cutout, stainless steel, a full set of H&R sport springs, track spec, and a stage 2 ECU and stage 2 TCU tune, it makes 205 horsepower even with a vacuum leak. The sound of it is absolutely incredible in person and cannot be described on video. It is hard to find parts for it because nobody makes OEM parts for a Passat. Even with only 205 hp, it is still such a fun car to drive, a thrill every day, an absolutely addicting sound, with a motor that has been used for over 40 years. Our cars are underrated, yet they give us more joy than any car ever could. They are our lives. Nice video. Gave me great insight on this car

Wow, not bad at all. Must be fun to drive around. Some people get too worked up over building fancy things and forget that sometimes a lightweight car with moderate power is all you need to have a good time. I honestly have more fun in my Abarth 124 than my C7Z06 that costs 3-4x as much.

Thanks, it's the Goodwin Racing non-resonated catback exhaust
Do you have a tune? And if so, how big the the before and after with the auto transmission? Thanks. The suspension ill leave stock because of REAL GARBAGE roads here, might even get taller wheels. I’m talking with my dealer to see if they can retrofit the new Monza exhaust on a 17 or 18 MY.
@SpeedLabsMotorEnvy
5 жыл бұрын
Yes my Abarth is tuned via EuroCompulsion's flash tune. The stock auto transmission was pretty good, but the tune woke up the upshifts and downshifts to make them more snappy and responsive. Still not DCT fast, but good enough for what this car is. The stock suspension and taller tires is a good idea for bad roads. Honestly, if I didn't track my cars, I wouldn't bother to modify the suspension, it's decent from the factory.
@gabrielflores1149

Track Day TV Thank you for both answer. The 228i or 230i would be 100% faster in a straight line (stock it is 5.0, so tuned would be 4.7 or so). And it is very well balanced that 2 series...but yeah, 700 pounds more none the less, handles great but is not as exotic looking or sounding. I researched both tunes and Tork seems to be better, however, I’m not sure if my research was based on manuals or both, I hope it is similar. I’ll re-research after a few months. The only thing holding me back right now is to see if the dealer can order the Record Monza as an independent part. (I want that stock, sporty exhaust). Thanks again,

Wow beautiful video fantastic I discovered your video because I was trying to find more videos about the Fiat 124 Spider. And you're right what is the most underrated sports car in the market right now. No one talks about it and you hardly ever see them and they're dirt cheap I mean, you can find a 2018 used when a thousand miles for twenty thousand bucks on a used car website or even 24,000 super cheap, my only concern was any type of maintenance problems. Getting a 2018 used model with only two thousand miles I can only imagine that it probably doesn't have any problems whatsoever but what are some of the problems that they're known they had? Upon looking over research a lot of people haven't complained about the 2018 as much is a 2017 model so maybe they have worked out all the problems anyway fantastic video you did a phenomenal job needs to hire you in and see this cuz this could be a great commercial but there's just some great things you said in there it's fantastic

Thanks for the compliment and comment. I hope to get much more traction on my videos one day. As for reliability, I haven't had nearly enough miles or time on mine to really comment. But I do take it to the track pretty often and, thus far, have had no issues. I suspect that reliability would be on par with the Fiat Abarth 500's as those share the same powertrain minus being FWD. Most of them have been relatively reliable even after being modified up to 250-300BHP. The good thing about the chassis or most of the electrical components on the 124 is that they are the same as a ND Miata, so many of those parts are interchangeable.
Man! Cool Video ;) You should really go for manual transmission. Paddle shifting on this model sucks!
Can you reprogram the down shifts? Stick, brembo’s and recaros and the times would improve. Great video. My Abarth 2020 is in customs. Can’t wait.
