This is the remake of one of our very first clips, featuring the spectacular FIAT 600 Proto of Andrea Vellei, attacking Ascoli Hillclimb in 2010. Powered by a 200Hp/12.000Rpm engine from a Kawasaki ZX12-R bike moving only 550Kg of Rear Wheel Drive classic shaped machine, it not only looked the part, but also displayed the kind of speed and handling capable of impressing both against the clock and the public.
So while the classic Fiat 600 was designed to be a practical, easy to operate, easy to park little car among some other things, it is just very fortunate that Italian Petrolheads in different generations decided that it could be much more. Like being transformed into a full blown race car capable of dispatching corners like a Kart on steroids. For that, we can only be thankful...

Fantastic. I was driven to school in a stock 600 in the early 1970s in Italy when I was a boy. This has slightly more power! Brilliant.

I’m like, no one is thinking this? So brutal, he must be sore after he runs this thing. But well worth the reward.
What my tiny brain finds the most novel about builds like this, is it is like the only time you EVER hear a zx12 or 'Busa REALLY being hustled.

Who would have thought that the ideal combination would be an engine from a superbike and and a tiny lightweight car from Italy for such a road !!!! For sure the driver had to be extra careful for the whole track but it think it was worth it , i mean he managed to brush off such a challenge and gave to the audience an intense show of skills , speed and good handling !!!!
When you want a central seat Mc Laren F1, but you only have a bike and an old fiat in the garage.
And absolutely master of driving. Wow. And the Fiat is just lovely. Such a cute beast

When running small cars like this the street bike engine route is definitely the way to go . Lots of power fairly cheap , light and already have a sequential gearbox stock .

Me too dream would be a suzuki cappuccino with and 1,3 l engine and turbo on low boost +200 HP in a 700 kg box should be enough

El cupe bola es muy buen auto para hacerle modificaciones. Vi muchas de ellas. En Córdoba hay uno parecido muy bueno. Y es la delicia de las carreras de picadas por su bajo peso, hasta dos motores les colocan uno para el tren trasero y otro el delantero. Salen como un misil!. Un abrazo para todos los tuercas.
