Well done! Do you know if there is a way to replace the spoiler/third brake light assembly without disassembling the roof?

Is there a way to deploy the pins from the ratchet after the top is fully assembled? My top had been recently replaced and goes up and down fully but the third brake light bow does not stay in place with the top partially open and the top will not relearn.

I’m going to want to change my 2013 500c Abarth roof… I got the $ to spend on buying a whole new kit if need be. But finding anyone in the U.S who will do it another story. Maybe I will fly you out for a holiday to the U.S and have you do it😂

What do procedure do you recommend to lubricate the tracks?

Hi You have rivet to one side, feed through and there's a plastic clasp on the other end

Hi If the adhesive has failed then yes. Never had this issue but I'd be looking at contact adhesives, of course check of suitable for application

Shall I use Silicon spray to lubricate the guides and mechanisms?

Can you please tell me which part is the L3? I am missing this part in my roof after it getting jammed, other parts also fell out but I can’t find this one. I am trying to work it out from a photo to arrange to get it 3D printed as I can’t pay for a whole kit at $400+ I’ve just paid $5600 to get a replacement engine and I’m really sad. Please help.

For anyone looking to save on labor and get a completely new top - you can buy the entire Top Assembly for $3000-4000. For Abarth: 5LF64MA9AH, 5LF64KX6AH. This includes the motor and everything. The repair is as simple as replacing a top panel of a non convertible. This is how they assemble in the factories - they don't mess with those complex parts. Way simpler. You can probably part off (sell) the old parts for $2000-$3000. Best! (This is a hardcore secret even the dealership don't know about. They will quote you $9000.)

@@christinamiller5753 whole convertible top units are sold by Fiat/Mopar… it’s not commonly known - even by dealerships - but they are pretty cheap and make the repair way easier…

Where the Sunroof motor located? If there a way to manually turn the motor star screw to manually and temporarily to close the Sunroof until you are able to get it fully repaired?

Hello. Great video. Very helpful in fixing our car. But the fix only lasted about a week, then something happened and we have 2 plastic guides broken on each side. We've already bought the 2 kits for both sides, the left side track and cable, and hopefully avoid buying 2 more kits. Do you know where we can buy just 2 guides for each side? Thank you.

Hi I can only put that down to the parts sticking in the guide rails Did they run the whole assembly without the roof and just the cables and guide pieces ? Depending on what was broken I may have an odd bit Are you sure it wasn't down to poor assembly ?

@@CabrioletTech Yes, we assembled it properly, making sure everything was aligned and in its correct position. We even lubricated the tracks. Anyway, we need just 2 guides for each side. If you can help, that would be great.

@@joseweibel542 Hi if you send me some photos I'll see what I've got But if you fitted brand new parts and assembled correctly they would have not broken So even when you replace I would recommend to operate the roof a few times manually that way you can feel if something is stuck to stop it breaking

@ 8:21 you can see the little angled arm that goes into the fabric pocket. My plastic arm keeps slipping out of the pocket. the hold looks like there was a rivet there once? My plastic L piece keeps falling out of the fabric pocket.

So is the only way to remove the front guide assembly to drill out the guide rail rivets and wind the guides forward so they drop out towards the front of the vehicle ? (As in the point at 4.20 ours on the passenger side have separated from the front 'carriage'). Helpful tutorial by the way. Much appreciated

I hate to ask you because I know you are not making money from me asking, but on my roof the only parts that broke were a couple of the plastic slide rail components that hold the crossmembers in place (and holds the metal bar that creates the folds). Is this a common issue looking at a 595 2016 plate tomorrow?

Do you have a complete step by step tutorial on how do get this repair done. I am having the issue where my trunk will not open when I turn the key because the vehicle thinks that the sunroof is still open and the car will only top out at 90mph because the ECU still thinks the softtop is still open. Question - how hard it is to replace just the fabric? Ordering just the fiat 500 fabric from Mopar is cheap part: 68161306AA. This means I would have to reattach the glass and front guide myself. Any experience with that? Mist fiat tops are sold with the glass and front guide attacked - so I am worried attaching them myself might be more hassle than it is worth.

Hi Replacing fabric is pretty much remove replace and refit, but you'll also have to swap over bars and interior linings
