I have so many mixed feelings on Britomart, because I love Britomart the character from the Faerie Queene, and even had my own Fate OC version of her... So I question a lot of the decisions they made with aspects of her design. But also, any acknowledgement of Britomart as a character at all is more than I ever expected out of FGO so her presence makes me very happy. So I'm rolling for her regardless.

@@pingufan1239 a certain streamer/youtuber famous for low star clears went on a rant on how he despises the min turn community, that is all i will say here.

It's too bad she straight up powercreeps Bradamante in the quick aoe lancer area. Though that's partially because poor Bradamante hasn't had a single buff. Not a big deal to me though, I don't love using quick that often. I'm also of the opinion that her NP should be different for 1st ascention, or at least keep the costume like Mordred or MHXX. All that said, I like Britomart, fairy's and mechas are cool.

she is one of favorites and I'm really happy that I got her when she was first released

If only her first ascension NP didn't involve removing her armor... Just to put it back on after the NP. Everytime I see a Servant use an outfit from a specific ascension, I try to use that ascension because it makes no sense to keep converting to that specific ascension's outfit for just the NP then lose it. Power ups, I get. Sudden costume change for just that one special attack move? Not really. And while Bradamante's outfit color is strictly NP-only, the outfit itself is still accessible as one of the ascension so I'm using that.

it's not a duality actually britomart was hyped for a week before her release as a mecha/fallen knight type of character and when got released people were dissapointed Tlaloc/tenochititlan is a aztec deity and so long so far there wasn't a mechanical thingies in the aztec mythology in type moon lore and when it got released it didn't tie up too much

In Britomart's case, I think people felt disappointed for not having a mecha waifu that actually looks like a robot and instead just another waifu with a generic design (not saying she looks bad, though). On Tenochtitlan, I'd say it's just that it gets ridiculous how Nasu thinks every culture has their own mechas like if it was Super Robot Wars. Like, Greek have their mechas, Japanese have their mechas, now Aztec/Mayans get their mechas too. At this point I wouldn't be surprised of an Artoria mecha... oh, wait, MHXX's 1st ascension exists

If you are atleast decently into fate or fgo, you'd know things aren't always as it seems and they'll tie into the story or lore in some way. Multiple examples for characters having different ascenion arts and different nps but people still jump to conclusions.

Give her the Mordred treatment of 2nd asc just taking her helmet off and 3rd being her without the armor + a spiritron dress with normal clothes and you'll notice the difference.

She was advertised as a waifu in hulking Fairy Marine powersuit. She then drop the armor right in the np. Nobody would have minded IF dropping the suit was in 3rd ascension. So she would have 2 different np animations like servants like Tezcatlipoca. Then her kit disappointed after the absolute banger that Fairy Knight Lancelot was.

@@PlushieMistress bruh, that dude banned me on his twitch for saying I do not like Medea on ANOTHER stream. Was kinda fun when I noticed. Not even arguing or not being polite, just saying that SSR have better animation values than R from 1st year of the game. That said, I do not like "you MUST min turn" mentality, because it rarely matters outside of lotto clear when you use apples. I clear the current 90++ in 3-5 turns (most often 4) and fine with it, would rather use Servants I like. But nothing wrong with showcasing min turns either. It's fun to see for modern 90++ nodes and mega whales have to have content too.

Very Cold Take: *Boudica is way more boring and generic than Britomart, and making her an Avenger only make it worse*

Honestly, I think that most of the hate comes from Reddit and I take anything from Reddit with bucketloads of salt, especially when they fully expected she would be a Mecha for some reason and act like we never had a Mecha Warrior before.

I personally don't like that they are taking away player choice with their characters in a game that's all about the characters. It's like if Space Ishtar swapped to Ishtarin (Ascension 2, bounty hunter) whenever you np. What's the point of using other ascensions if it's gonna force you into the one you didn't choose? Another example would be if they took off all of Mordred's armour whenever she uses np. If you're paying literal hundreds to get a character, the least you could get is your np matching your Ascension. Besides that I've heard her character is really bland

And Britomart isn't even the first one to ignore Ascension swaps depending on the Noble Phantasm(Bradamante, Tametomo, Ibuki Douji in both forms, Majin Okita Saber) so it seems like an odd point to jump into of all things. And if we go by Britomart having a bland character(Which is only stated by those who just read a synopsis of an Event at best), what makes you think being a robot would make her better? I don't remember people going apeshit over Babbage, Odysseus, Tametomo, Europa, Avicebron because they have Robots or are robots as well. It feels like you are going along with the crowd reasoning rather than making your own.

Most hated fairy knight is a bit of a stretch, I dont like her as much as the others but thats because the others have god tier characterisation. Love her design and all her ascensions (that final ascension is god tier). Her skill set is a bit wonky but still very much workable too.

It’s not her fault that Lasengle gave us a boring character!

Part of the dislike is she was released in November and was announced as the last servant of the year. So she was the face of the rest of the year being dead for servants and the removal of Christmas. Also she's a mid aoe quick lancer who looks like a hentai character.

I am judging her so much, now that we got melusine summer, since you can use her in swinsuit form, and still see her beatifull mechanical modified body in her np, Britomart feels just like a check list character.

People gave several examples like mhxx foreigner and Mordred, who loses the armour with each ascension. So it felt like it's the same person.

Well, blame her design. She is a generic elf girl inside that armour. If it were something like foreigner mhxx, then people would have recieved her better, where they incorporated the mecha theme in her swimsuit. Brit's whole design is like finding an episode of family matters instead of the video you searched for " Step sis rammed by bbc"
