People are confused as to why the AlterEgos get to stay but the Avengers leave. It’s simple. The alteregos don’t represent bloodshed and flames of vengeance and hatred. They’re something that can realistically exist within proper human history, think of superhero’s and their billionaire alter-egos. Avengers though are quite literally made up of hatred and vengeance. They COULD go with Fujimaru as that exists in PHH, but they know he doesn’t want to burn down the world. So they left. The Alteregos are just that; alteregos. They won’t burn down the world by being in PHH. You also have to remember that the Alterego class has directly take down a beast, with Meltryllis and Lip beating Kiara and saving the final master of humanity. Point is, the alteregos dont represent hatred and the like, and because of that, they stay. They’re an important class for Chaldea and getting rid of them would be a bad idea. Getting rid of Douman after OC1 would’ve led to Caligastro winning in OC2, as douman wouldn’t have been there to clean up his own mess, as an example. The avengers will return eventually. Just Wait and Hope.

If you think about it, Fujimaru had Dantes with him the whole time. Particularly when his mental capacity was going south (like when Mash sacrificed herself to block Goetia's AAS in the Temple of Time). The Solomon OVA touches up on this beautifully.

If i remember correctly, he revealed himself a bunch of times in the lostbelts. He was their when skadi imprisoned us in scandinavia, he was there when aphrodite tried to corrupt us and he even was there when Taira tried to get rid of us in our mental world in her event.

You know what'd be real horrifying? If Shielder wasn't the exception.

Just now, it brought a realization to me that some events like Little Big Tengu are canon, Taira and Kiichi Hougen appearing in the ordeal call was evidence, and don't forget Nagiko appeared in the 2020 Valentine's event... Meaning most of those events were canon no matter how wacky and impossible it is(except maybe events related to Servantverse?)

The school section felt longer than i thought. Guess we'll see what oc3 goes with next

The location is South Europe (Italy), and we still have the words "Divine Comedy" and "Awareness of one's Sin" from the first OC trailer to cover and to top it off, we should be following the trend of Freudian psychoanalysis and take a look at the Superego this time. My guess is that we will once again go to a dream/conceptual place where Ritsuka will have to traverse different locations that represents the regrets and sins he accumulated through our journey with the excuse of "If you want to reach Antarctica you need to have no regrets and a clean consciousness", and I suppose Vergil will guide us and Charon from the Valentine's event might make another appearance. Not sure who the servant from the poster is, people are guessing Lilith and since we might go through a metaphorical "Hell" that might come true.

Family or bonding is the first, vengeance is the second, and the third trial can be greed. Throughout the journey, the master has gathered qp as a way of making their servants stronger. You even get a hint of their greed in one of the dialogue choices towards the end of oc2, saying that they'd farm mats in whatever context was given (I forgot what they were discussing). We could get servants such as Gilgamesh appearing since he's the greediest servant that we have contracted. We can have Qin shing Huang included since he's probably the greediest ruler that I know that we made a contract with. Columbus would be great or Blackbeard. And that can leave room to new rulers or new servants that are summoned by the human order. This is all so interesting to me! If I made any errors, let me know because my memory isn't the best when mentioning story elements from the past.

To be fair, Avengers are almost an unnatural existance, unlike the alter ego, the other you, those flames of revenge and hatred that gave them birth became so unfamiliar to the world that it rejects them, with the sole exception being Angra Manyu, since he is a deity used to pile sins on him, he is a necessary evil, the avengers in general are not

Natural existence or not, the fact that they exist, have personalities beyond anger and hate, and are capable of growing as actualized people (including Lobo, and especially Jalter) gave their departure a lot of weight. Fujimaru (and us, by extension) aren't just discarding dangerous living weapons, but having to let go of precious friends (and lovers, in the case of Dantes and Jalter). This reminds me of Lyrical Nanoha, one of my favorite animes of all time. The reason Fate Testarossa was saved and able to grow as a person was because Nanoha saw her not as a dangerous enemy, but as a person capable of love and free will. I feel at least someone at Lasagna is a fan of Nanoha.

At least you have some prep time. It's like being told a loved one has a terminal disease and they got 2 years to live... for as rough as it sounds, you still got time to enjoy with them. I was told 3 days after my made my waifu (Jalter) bond 10 that she would be gone if I did this chapter. Now I'm pushing to make her bond 15, lvl. 120 and hopefully NP5 (currently NP2) and choosing NOT to do OC2 until I'm forced to by an event or more story chapters... because I can't handle the idea of losing her for the time being and not knowing when will I ever see her again... I hate this feeling. This is like how I felt over Castoria at the end of LB6 and how distraught I was until Nasu made Summer 8... hope he also tackles Jalter's return. Not dissing Sakurai's writing... but I don't think I can forgive her for taking Jeanne Alter away from me

So it is already finished of ordeal call chapter 2 while the epilogue is important for the next chapter 3 which the extra class is ruler.

Meaning the last part of Ordeal Call might be about Chaldea being judged by the Ruler-class Servants, whose role would be to carry out the will of the Counter Force and not necessarily side with us as they have been. There would be fights, sure, but not necessarily about survival.

I think she might be the only one coming back, based on that little oversight in her 3rd ascension sprite update with the back tattoos you could only see during certain attacks. After 2 weeks, Lasangle took them away. My theory is that later on in the story, that'll be her updated sprite and those tattoos will work to sustain her existance as some sort of special command seals for her. After all, of all Avengers, she's a special case that only came to be thanks to Gilles and then Ritsuka making a contract with her to make her exist. It should stand to reason she could theoretically break said rules and come back... or at least have better chances of coming back than the others. ... I really hope my theory is correct and Jalter will come back just like LB6 Castoria did in Summer 8. Even if it takes 2 to 3 years... I need her back

@@smellyuncle the Castoria in Chaldea isn't LB6 Castoria, it's Artoria Avalon playing being Castoria until her third ascension; even her Valentines scene shows this, if I remember properly. Berserker Castoria IS LB6 Castoria who came back from Avalon to have happy summer memories and now can be independent from Artoria Avalon while she's her own thing. But yes, I do hope Jalter gets to come back soon and somehow... those back tattoos of hers that were taken out kinda give me hope they'll be a key elwment in her comeback

Our only hope is Jalter at this point. Mostly because that little "oversight" in her sprite update having some back tattoos that you could only see during her 3rd ascension and during specific attacks. They got removed 2 weeks later but I wanna believe they're the hint for her to come back in the story... at least as the only representative of the Avengers due to her unique circumatances

Fak Alaya, all my homies hate it. This is why Gaia is the best. The other classes will be covered in a different wwy. The fight against Aqua Marie unlocks the Pretender score class, so I guess that's how we'll unlock the rest of the Extra classes withour over extending the story further

@@Ren29892 Pretenders are said to be "molded by CHALDEAS" If quoting the story, so I guess there is no problem with them I have a bit of hopeium that Moon Cancers will be at least a bit covered along with Foreigners

8th anniversary interview: Are you going to make stories for all Extra Classes? Mooncancer included? Nasu: No, Mooncancers are like the EX Rank or the fun bonus pages at the end of a manga volume, and more accurately, they have extraterritorial rights by default (laughs). Pretenders don't cause distortions because they come disguised as existing Classes. And we can't make a whole story for Shielder because there's only one of them, so our plan for this one is to do the thing everyone has been waiting for. Look forward to it.

9:38 I don't get this. If this refers to seven standard classes, then are we supposed to discard every Extra class Servant? OC1 was seemingly about understanding Alter Egos better, not letting them go. And Mash is in that bracket too, right? Will she be unable to make it to final battle? For that matter, I can guess why Summer Avengers (Kama, Chloe, Erice), Servantverse Avengers (Space Ishtar, Mysterious Ranmaru X) and Gudaguda Avenger (Demon King Nobunaga) weren't included in this, but what about Angra Mainyu and Ushi Gozen? What's their excuse?

According to her profile Ushi Gozen is basically a Rider pretending to be an Avenger and Angra has always been an exception, he doesn't really play by the rules.

It seems to say that she truly is an Avenger, whose Spirit Origin originally was Rider... so I guess she is in the same camp as the Summer Avengers - being an Avenger is an altered state, not the natural one. Fine, I can accept this. Angra being an exception does nothing to clarify, if having him on-board will be just overlooked, an actual problem or a secret backdoor for the return of Avengers (I can hope).

@ssj5gogeta1310 Ushi Gozen has new lines that basically tell us she will eventually leave too iirc. So the one who helped us in this OC2 just left sooner than the other.

Well, different from OC1 where the answer we got is to supplement the Alter Ego and learned to deal and treat them. In OC2, we got 讐理超克 which is "Avange(r) Order Surpassed." Which points to how Fujimaru surpassed the need for Avengers. Novum Chaldea's answer to Avenger class was, "We're over the desire for revenge." Hence why the Avengers are leaving. However, this does not necessarily need to be the only answer. Had Fujimaru accepted the nature of Avengers as their own, then Ordeal Call requirement would've been cleared anyway and Fujimaru would still have the Avengers with them which is smh that Dantes hope to avoid hence the seven trials. Fujimaru answered that their journey is not for revenge after learning more about them, so it'd be wrong to use the power of vengeance to end said journey.

Personally I'm happy that the Summer Avengers aren't included. Especially Summer Kama, since her target for "revenge" is Parvati and her husband Shiva anyway. Because of that, the best way to help Kama with her revenge is to basically love her as a husband loves his wife. She's a total pushover anyway, so that should be easy.

…There had better be a happy ending where the Avengers come back after the Ordeal Call! Not just Jalter and the others, but Ritsuka deserves that too!

I have two things to say about this ending 1) Man that was heartbreaking 2) Man that was so bullshit I understand the themes and all but these Avengers clearly show to be more than just mindless vengeance Not to mention the utility such individuals can be, if we're cherry picking Servants for their "non-moral" behaviour the list will be so big not even the Moon-Cell could register it all

its not the morality. Its the corruption. All those flames that we fight in the story are originated from the avengers. Its clear when dantes' shadow dissapears and they start popping up like crazy as he had been holding them back. Those remmants of vengance stayed in the head of Ritsuka corrupting his mind. Its in actual mental threat to Ritsuka. Its also why Cagliostro was cultivating the bad experiences at the deepest part of his mind. Those things could have grown on their own and Dantes still leaves abigail in charge of cleaning Ritsuka's mind from more corruption that could come later in other forms.

@@MokonaModokiES I fail to see how Cagliostro cultivating those bad experiences has anything to do with the Avengers There is freaking Zeus on the main pillar, showing how these are all the bad experiences accumulated over the course of the story, not Avengers only It's never said that's what those flames are, and I always just saw it as Ritsuka own deep feelings of Vengeance pouring out Though, yours seem to be the only explanation that doesn't make everyone look like total morons for discarding Divine Spirit tier of characters I will pay more attention to see if that's true in a future reread

Hope they get romani or musashi treatment
