Thanks! I have been fairly fortunate with this account :) I think that you have Skadi, along with Melt and NP2 Kama is quite good. Plus Mordred is a good AoE Saber. But hopefully you will be able to get other SSR's in the near future. So I wish you all the best on your rolls :)

This made me look at my own acquisition. I've rolled in several banners, but in the last 5 months, getting every SQ possible, I've not gotten a single SSR since... Merlin is still my consolation prize from GSSR

I'd like to think I have been pretty fortunate on this alt account as well. And I have been purposefully targeting the major caster supports. I really hope Skadi comes home without too must issue lol...then definitely on to saving for Castoria. And may both our Castoria rolls go well!

Nice account. I am a 100% f2p (no GSSR) and I have 11 SSR since i begun in may last year. Those 11 SSR were in order, Skadi, Sitonai, Tamamo, Abby, QSH, Illya, Xiang Yu, Arjuna Alter, Da Vinci-chan (I got NP2 in diferents rolls), Gramps (NP2 on the same multi) and finaly Enkidu in my Bday story rolls. Yeah, kinda a travel i got there XD.

Well done! My poor F2P alt started in June and only has a single 5* servant - Da Vinci Rider, which I got on the anniversary banner on my very first 10 roll. Astraea showed up in that same 10 roll and has been carrying my alt hard from the very beginning. I spent maybe 800 SQ combined total on my alt/main and my alt literally got no 5 star CEs or gold servants...meanwhile my main got a few SRs and then Merlin on the final roll. My F2P luck just isn't there it seems!

Thanks! Hopefully your luck with your F2P alt rolls gets better. On the occasional times when my main and alt happened to be rolling on the same banner, I sometimes wonder if one account saps the luck from the other lol Who are you rolling for next on your main and alt?

I installed FGO a few years ago and played for 2weeks and stopped. But I returned to this game around the Summer Jalter event. And I’ve been getting really lucky with getting the rate up limited ssr I wanted with average of 2 multis.

My 1st SSR is tamamo no mae, I got her with 2 multis. I didn't even know wtf I was doing that time 🤣 I didn't know she was a support when I made her my main damage servant, all because she's my only SSR

Interesting video. One thing I noticed was that you got a lot of welfare servants during that year. Since I started more recently, they have scaled back on welfare servants probably partly due to less re-runs of old events. Too bad.

Very lucky indeed, my main account just got to 1 year old in July and I only have 9 SSR, 2 Gssr

On my alt alt acc, 18 days and 5 SSRs. It was a good idea to start a new journey on NA

@@FGOadventures Thanks! Ofc yoloing & saving both lead to the same number of SSRs on average - the difference being WHICH SSRs you get. Unfortunately all attempts to save for Waver ended in nada, and Achilles spooked me on Reines' banner, so until next year's SSR ticket Jeanne and Osakabehime are my only SSR Supports.

@@FGOadventures Yeah, it did. I'll Yolo for Skadi for sure, but will I actually save anything for her? Probably not for longer than a week, as saving for Support Casters has only brought me pain.

NA player, been playing for atleast 2 years, 15 SSR servants, vlad being the first one, if i didn't get vlad as my first ssr, i would've quit the game, i was sad when i found out he was considered a bad servant but that didn't stop me from loving him. When castoria came vlad became relevant, his buffs helped him to be a better servant, i was happy for papa vlad. Now he's at bond 10, knitting clothes for jack and the other child servants i have.

Your dedication to Vlad will be rewarded when Castoria comes! And I can relate with regards to liking a servant that is considered "bad". Assassin MHX is one of my favorites and her rep lags a lot behind Jack and now Kama lol So I respect you sticking with Vlad despite what the meta dictated. Any servant can be viable so definitely use who you love!

your MHXX rolls hit so close to home because i too spent the equivalent of 300+ SQ and got shafted. even got summer BB and an arjuna spook on 1 of the mutlis but NP0 MHXX... 6 SSRs in 390 SQ is pretty insane luck though, hope that happens to all of us during our space ishtar rolls!

Honestly, everytime I see you guys saying you failed getting XX I feel really bad after just spending 3 tickets to get her(I was ready to spend like a 130-ish sq for my power ranger gundam). I really hope you guys get her in Imaginary Scramble next year because she's very fun to play.

@@JiryStark Haha you're not wrong about the power ranger/mecha combination. Although, I had only thought about the gundam similarities...until you pointed out the super sentai aspect LOL I adore her design and her earnest but clumsy nature is super endearing to me. Definitely one of my favs :)

My main account is my second account, having lost my first account after accidentally throwing my phone onto concrete and not binding that account or even making a note of things like the id... The only thing on that account that I'd want back is my welfare scathach, Sherlock, and amakusa. And summer Mordred... But my current account is better in every way. More SSRs, SRs, and it feels luckier than how I started with it and I have max bonds... And whale badges (USOs). I'm still really looking forward to Gilfest.

This is really nice. I want to try gssr too in the future. As a newbie who started the game before on summer 3 i was really aiming for an emiya or siegfried as my main servant so i keep rerolling and end up getting herc, and my discord friends said just go herc and i end up caving in when i heard emiya or siegdried could spook me. So i did my first multi on the current jarcher banner and i got ibaraki and parvati yay. Then i just mindlessly do singles when i get quartz clearing the story and fq then 2am PHT i got jarcher in a single i think its 60 to 120 quartz total? I Never knew how amazing she is at that time i was just aiming for ushi summer hearing she will never came back and because of fgo anime i really liked ushi i grailed rider ushi to 80 same with euryale. So i keep rolling got my 2nd copy of jarcher, then 2nd copy of ibaraki like 200 plus sq in then 300 plus i got another jarcher i was losing my mind. my discord friends told me to stop and kinda listen and roll on for summer medb and 120 quartz in only summer bb. I'm still salty about summer ushi so i tried to make a new account and i got ushi there so i didn't lose hope and so I still roll 400 plus sq in i got np4 jarcher, gold spark diurmuid saber,then gold assassin I was happy then its a stheno spook reeeeeee. I think i already finished 5th singularity and the fq in 5 to 6 days scraping sq and doing the event for summer jalter. Hitting 500 sq in i got tamamo and saberlot doing singles as always I only did 2 or 3 multis in banner i think then i was like loosing hope I tried again and got her 3 more singles phew. She kinda stuck in lvling though because i have too many servants to lvl up out of nowhere. I rolled a few more times in the bb, jarcher and dantes banner 30 to 60 sq total because I can't wait for the next one xd i let my sister roll in a single and got me helena. This is super long xd sorry and nice vid as always long story short I used up 500 plus sq to get summer ushi.

Then summer hokusai comes around yay I rolled on musashi banner because my friend said she's good for arts team that i have so I tried i stopped at 120 sq only got 2 osakabehime I'm already in lb1 because i kinda skip 1.5 at that time and behold i saw og musashi and it ignited my passion to go again for her 285 sq total 2 osakabehime, 1 carmilla 6 copies of 4* event ce and 1 5* event ce and a origin bullet. I tried summoning siegfried hehehehe 5 tix in end up with merlin oof. I tried rolling for summer melt cause penguin and i thought its cute and first roll got me a ruler and its jeanne xd 5th single got me ilya cosmos the best ce for her XD though on melt solo rate up i did get her np1 i tried getting summer okita and another assassin spook from shinjuku sigh. Anyways its hella fun playing this game even if i have so under leveled servants thanks to my friends that has good supports i guess trying to beat shimosa with lvl 50 plus servants only jarcher and jalter summer in 80 plus xd good times. I end up liking all the servants i got specially jeanne, merlin and jarcher that help me a lot in the lotto and the cq on gilfest which i tried to clear for summon tix and i did clear it all thanks qsh supports. Lakshmi bai the one i got from the class banner because i was wishing for an aoe saber and she came end up liking her one of the best waifu for me specially when i cleared lb4 hah lb3 and lb4 became a cake walk when my servants was maxed still I'm not done with maxing my gold servants I'm not even half way yet hoping to first time grailing 100 my jarcher, lakshmi and spishtar :D I'm still hoping for np3 at least or np5 even if I don't have sq left sorry for the long story its just it made me want to write this :)

Very nice f2p account. Very similar to mine, actually, so it must mean I'm doing something good hahaha. My next target is np2 Okita Alter because she became my absolute top waifu after Guda3. I absolutely love her and grailed her to 100 without hesitation after she came in the new year's gssr. Everytime I see cavalry nodes I pick her inmediately as there's no other choice for me. So yeah, right now I'm saving for her and after her... Castoria. Man I hope she comes to my Chaldea... #F2PisHELL

Wanna cry, i did not finish the Jalter basaka event cuase the admision exam, now im gonna expect a 3rd rerun(Interlude, i know is imposible). but it got Jalter Avenger yesterday with 120 sq and 7 tics

from first release of NA until now i got 23 ssr. my Luck is sht but still playing . my first SR is Emiya and SSR Raiko.(which i fully Break cuz i love her)

I miss my account I had over a 200 servants but faint Grand order support team could only find an existing account that only has $100 It's going to cost me a lot of money to rebuild that account I learned a valuable lesson about not backing up my device in multiple outlets

20 SSRs in 9 months. But that dropped drastically and I hated it. That's when I started whaling because I was so used to getting every servant I want when I was f2p back then.

But then later when that didn't happen, it drove me crazy and then I just started spending more and more lol

Thank you! And very nice to see another Artoria fan :) You're off to a great start with Tamamo Vitch, Morgan, and Artoria - so congrats on getting them! But I can understand the dilemma about farming for materials. That is the unfortunate drawback of getting the newest servants if you are fairly new to the game - not having the materials. You didn't mention the current levels and skills of your SSR's so I'll be a little general. Since you have so much AP accumulated, it would be nice to spend it farming for the mats you need. I suspect that the new Summer event will be announced soon for JP which may have many materials you need. So I would look forward to using your AP to participate and farm the upcoming Summer event. Hopefully the event will be announced soon :) In the meantime, you can still work on getting Artoria's skills up since her materials are all available among the 7 Singularities of Part 1. What other servants have you leveled? And what levels are Tamamo Vitch, Morgan, and Artoria? Tamamo Vitch need 8 Reactor Cores from LB3 and Morgan needs 5 Eggs of Truth from LB4 for their 4th ascension. So you could also start to make your way through the story to get to those materials while waiting for the Summer event.

My alt acc 55 days 3 SSRs, 1st Hassan, Lolivinci and Merlin. Saving all my Sqs for Space Ishtar.

28 days of playing since i started In the Vegas event and I got Merlin my first ssr on a sunday and yesterday my second ssr caster pickup summon Tamamo No Mae. So far 2. Wow your first 2 SSR's are Merlin and Tamamo?! That's great - congrats! And yes, both Merlin and Tamamo are considered 2 of the 4 best caster supports currently in the game. The other two being Zhuge Liang (Waver) and Scáthach-Skadi. So you are off to a really good start :)

I'd say you have been very fortunate with your rolls. 15 SSR's in 171 days being f2p is really good from what I've seen around. So congrats on that! Regarding the GSSR banner, my opinion is they are worth it since you're guaranteed an SSR for 15 paid quartz. So if you're willing to buy 15 paid quartz, then a GSSR banner is good value.

I have been playing for less than 2 years and 14SSR but I have 0 foreiners. I have 3 SSR saber 1 SSR rider 1 SSR avenger 1 SSR assassin 2 SSR alter ego 2 SSR caster 2 SSR lancer 1 SSR mooncancer. Next objective to get space Ishtar. Altough as a f2p its a great SSR collection but i alteast want 1 foreigner i have 0 foreigner servants. Hope i get the new foreigner on new year.

Very nice roster you have there! And I can relate about not having a Foreigner which was why I tried to chase MHXX. Not an SSR Foreigner but she would have been good enough for me. If I can't get her on my alt on her next banner, then I suppose I'll just have to rely on the welfare Mysterious Idol X Alter lol I hope you're able get Space Ishtar next. She would be tremendous addition to your roster :) Then I assume you'll roll for Yang Guifei come New Year's? I wish you luck on both!

@@FGOadventures yes for the moment my main servants goal is space ishtar castoria ushi avenger and koyankaya although the later 3 have a long way to come I probably wouldn't spend more than 10 tickets from the new year bonus tickets from the shop for yang gufei cuz I will be getting a welfare foreigner and whether I get castoria or not I have skadi so MH alter having a quick np and a welfare foreigner is a huge plus for me. I won't be spending much than 5-10 tickets on yang gufei and probably the same for few other nice servants like senji muramasa and summer Kiara.

I hope one day my f2p account would reach this level . Ive been playing since july i only have a merlin , a waver , emiya welfare hokusai , np2 spishtar np2 musashi . And caster gil

I think you're doing quite well with the servants you have so far. Having both Merlin and Waver as supports is huge. Plus Caster Gil is good too able to fit as both a support and as AoE caster. And then you have two very good AoE loopers with NP2 Spishtar and NP2 Summer Musashi. My congrats for who you've summoned up to this point :) Really nice! I wish you the best of luck on your future rolls! Who do you think you'll be targeting next?

Ah that's rough. But you never know what can happen with the gacha. My friend started his account around the same time as my alt. He got spooked by Waver fairly early on but then every banner he tried no SSR's. Up until the New Year's GSSR which was his second SSR. His drought on banners continued for bit but then he hit a lucky streak over a span of a few months and ended up with 15 SSR's (2 from GSSR's) up to this point. So hopefully, you'll hit a really good lucky streak soon :) Best of luck on your future rolls.

F2P can have that much ?! 😳

No gssr rolls but I feel f2p accounts have abnormal luck... 2np3 SSR, 5np2 SSR, 9np1 SSR 9np2+ SR, 21np1 SR (not including free event SR). Initially built to clear content with budget servants lol. Does not have luck with 5* supports though.

1 year and almost 9 months in the game, 8 SSR(including merlin) and my most used servant still is Sieg from apocrypha collab kk Edit:9, i forgot osakabehime Edit2:10, i looked again in my acount and had forgot about my altera that came in valentine, sorry kk

I don't have Sieg myself (on either accounts) but I've heard good things about him. So I'm looking forward to the Apocrypha Collab event re-run next year. I have a feeling he'll serve me well on my alt account as he has for you :)

@@FGOadventures My sieg is only NP3 because i was in the early game and couldn't farm enough but here is a joke tha tme and some friends do about him: Sieg only need some Soda to loop He have a good kit and farm a lot alone, he is a monster with casthoria

@@FGOadventures well, i don't know a lot about meta and etc, but my sieg is only in level 5 of skills(ther 3rd is on 10) and can regain a lot from usin the np, so i think he is good, but probably have better, i don't know

Well, more like 14 SSR's since 2 of the 16 are from GSSR's. And I think I was just lucky...especially during summer when I rolled for Merlin and had some leftover SQ to try for Summer Musashi since that was purely on a whim 😅

I wish I could but so much of it just comes down to luck. Of the 14 SSR's from f2p SQ, only 8 I rolled for intentionally when they were on rate up. The others came by way of spooking and some of them during the limited banners I successfully rolled. I guess all I can suggest is just save up as much SQ and tickets as possible and try not to roll for an SSR with anything less than 300 SQ. That is my soft minimum for targeting a particular banner to give myself a half way decent chance of getting the rate up SSR. Of course, nothing is absolute with the gacha and there will be many times when 300 SQ is not nearly enough. But hopefully over time, your success rate with SSR's should average out to where your baseline ranges from 300 to 400 SQ. Best of luck to you with your future rolls!

TLDR; You can definitely get by with strictly using free servants in this game. And there are various ways to make them stronger. Add in the friend list support system and a f2p should be able to beat most of the content with the right strategy. But the moment there is a desire for specific higher rarity servants and involves the saint quartz gacha, then all bets are off 😂😅 Long version: In my opinion, FGO can be f2p friendly in terms of game play. One of the really good things about FGO is that many of the lower rarity servants that are free (1, 2, or 3-star servants) are quite viable to clear the story and participate in events. In addition, throughout the year there are several free 4 star servants of varying classes that can be obtained through events. Plus you can obtain multiple copies of these free 4 star servants to allow for their Noble Phantasm levels to be increased to max. Thus, making them quite powerful. Recently, a 4 star AoE Saber class servant was added to the free friend point summoning pool. Then there is the friend list system. Add different players to your friend list via request and once accepted you can use their servants to help you in battle as a support. This can be especially useful when you need a particular class of servant which you may not have available. Plus many veteran players will have their most powerful servants available for use on their friend list support spots. There is also a system to upgrade (commonly referred to as grailing) your servants and increase their maximum levels to reach the current maximum level cap of 100. So it's possible to take one of the best of offensive casters in the game - the free 2 star servant Chen Gong - and raise his level from the original 2-star cap of 65 to match that of a 5 star servants' level 90 (or beyond to 100). In other words, you can take a lower rarity servant and turn them into a pseudo-5 star. I say pseudo because their overall stats will still be lower than 5 star servants in general. But since it is easy (and free) to max their Noble Phantasm levels, their damage potential could easily surpass 5 stars of the same class. The game also provides plenty of opportunity to earn the main in-game currency saint quartz. This is through story campaign completion, weekly missions, login rewards, events, and special campaigns. Items to replenish one's in-game stamina (called AP) are given in ample amounts so rarely (if ever) would you need to use saint quartz for that. There are also continual game updates that provide further ways to make your servants stronger. So like I said, for strictly game play I think the game provides many ways to progress as f2p. However, where being f2p becomes challenging is when you begin to desire specific higher rarity servants. This means rolling the saint quartz gacha and just being at it's mercy. If you want the shiny new caster servant that changes the game's meta, then you save up your saint quartz and roll the dice as it were. Keep in mind there are many horror stories of f2p players spending all of their saved saint quartz and getting nothing. So this is the one aspect where the game has no mercy for f2p players.
