Didn’t Poseidon rape her……and the whole reason she was cursed to become the gorgon was because Athena was pissed that her temple was desecrated (Medusa was a priestess of Athena) as a result of the rape but she really couldn’t do anything to Poseidon so she cursed Medusa. Honestly it’s kind of twisted that she and Medusa are fused here

​@@sootythunder3111that is the roman version that ovid wrote Tho in actual greek mythology there was no rape done by poseidon And in fate lore there is also no mention of getting raped Acording to lore poseidon gave her presents So I dont know why she hates poseidon here

@@adam-dn3hi well remember servants aren’t necessarily true to the actual events of the Nasuverse history a heroic spirit takes shape from the cumulation of their history but also popular interpretations of the history/myth so while she may have never been raped by posedian the fact that Ovids and the Roman version of the legend even exist will alter Medusa to reflect things that occur in the legend.

@@sootythunder3111 those other legend never effect their actual personality or memories tho At best it changes their physical appearence(warrior vlad inoccent monster skill) or gives them a noble phantasm(king vlad legend of dracula) Anleast i missed a servant who actually has changed memories or personality due to this reasons i dont understand why medusa hates poseidon

@@adam-dn3hi well I don’t know about changing personality but Kojiro has a complete understanding of what Kojiro should be even though the games acknowledge even in the Nasuverse kojiro is a fictional character that never existed and the “kojiro” we summon is just some guy who has the skill to fit the mold of kojiro and the grail imparts the knowledge of what he needs to fill the role of kojiro

That Medusa drip looks clean. Not gonna lie. She got that style even euryale and stheno jealous.

I love how this medusa acts less like the one we know and more like if Ana didn't grow into Gorgon yet. Her VA is transcendant as always and i'm glad ill be free in 2 years, getting a 5* of my fav of the OG fate servants

I'm grateful, Lasagna, but don't think for a second I've forgotten that Summer Medusa is still not a reality.

As a huge fan of the Faerie Queene, the Britomart line is a delight to me. For those unaware, in the Faerie Queene, Artegall (Britomart's father) wields a golden sword named Chrysaor, there said to be the sword of Demeter.

As a fan of Faerie Queene myself, I agree. But, in which part of the poem does it say that Artegal's sword has any relation to Demeter. Because throughout the entire poem I've read, there's only mention of it being a "Sword that was made by Hephaestus and Goddess Astraea gave it to Artegal afterwards."

Huh, I wonder if this is going to be linked in the Nasuverse with Medusa’s kid with the same name that was born when she died that we do know exists, just nothing else.

Thanks for posting these xNaya, the people who used to do so either vanished or stopped doing it, so I'm happy to see these translated line videos again. Looking forward to future ones too if you feel like it.

It's mostly depended on whether I'm interested in the Servant and if one of my translator friends is interested in translating their lines, and if I can find the time in my schedule to record/sub them, so I can't really promise anything. Worst case you can just wait 2 years for NA version, so it's not like the end of the world.

@@xNaya That's fine, it's just cool to have it easily accessible when/if it happens. For the NA case though, I base my to-roll list mostly on these voice lines so I need to know what they say in advance ( as an NA player ). So worst case scenario for me is checking the wiki for translation as KZread has a bunch of videos in japanese 😅 .

@@m-royvlad5801 fate wiki and chrysaor profile In short In fate lore athena cursed medusa cause she was beautifull she took away the "her faith from each and every person" Poseidon isnt anywhere in that story And acording to 1 of the craft essense poseidon gifted pegasus and chrysaor as gifts(which is confirmed in medusa backstory I belive) So yeah the roman rape version never happened(it doesnt even seem to exist as a seperate legend)
