Interesting video. I feel like the biggest hurdle for Tiamat single core stuff at 90++ level is T1, since she's so ramp-oriented. A powerful addition to the game nonetheless.

@@PlushieMistress Yeah also 2T stuff like the GudaGuda one and Valentine's would affect her too since her main steroid is on 6T CD and it's one less turn of ramp. Lack of niche is also very surprising considering how much they love throwing those around these days. But she's still a very potent option for 90++ when her cards allign, which is more than what half the SSRs in the game rn can say so she's very very good.

Rewatching this 8 months later, I feel like the part about Alter Egos really holds up. While priority #1 is still 1 invested universal looper (preferable 1 Arts and 1 Buster), after you have that and your supports, you get the best returns from new loopers that outperform the universal loopers in specific niches. Sure you can drop thousands of SQ to hyper the *next* omni-farmer to push that ceiling a little bit higher, but with how the 90++ game has been shaping up, IMO you're much better served by covering specific niches that let you break open otherwise-inaccessible nodes. And with how wide their coverage is, a superpowered Alter Ego is perfect for that. Back when we were all chasing that one universal looper (in the days of Summer Musashi vs. Spishtar), something with weakness vs. all 3 Knight classes was a huge liability. But these days, with universal farmers up the wazoo, things are different.

The highest damage I was able to get out of her was 6,900,000. Only LVL-90.

After experimenting with both, Tiamat seems like more of a damage dealer, while on the other hand you take Kukulkan to some boss fights. Not to say that Tiamat didn’t do well in boss fights, she actually carried me through the Tamamo beast boss fight, she just doesn’t have any hard survivability.

Glad I choose to roll for Tiamat Larva over Draco. Gameplaywise, Tiamat has better gameplay value than Draco overall, but not gonna lie, Draco is very awesome looking, and that 'special summoning animation' itself already a big temptation to roll for her.

Still to this day, after years I need a one more copy of BG to mlb it on both Jp and NA. That's also after picking it with the 5* CE ticket we got on jp as well.

Alter Egos deal half damage to Sabers, Lancers, Archers, and Pretenders. Melusine only deals half damage to 2 classes.

I didn't even pull for her but I wanted to watch this educational video to boost my intellect

Funnily enough, while obv her damage ramp-up potential is insane, I actually think her third skill and ramp-up damage on her NP makes her a good hybrid damage pick for stall comps. The heal is light, but comes out often, the small AoE battery matters over long periods of time, and the NP damage only being for 1 turn matters less when you can usually wait a turn to pop off an NP. That, and it makes the crit damage down on her 1st skill a little more relevant, since wasting uptime for a 50% battery matters less when you're getting more turns to pop off your 10% AoE charge. Edit: oh yeah, I nearly forgor about the passive damage cut and NP gain too! She definitely seems like she'll excel both at farming AND in defensive comps. I couldn't be happier, I think, with what we've got.

I mean, if you have All the pieces for tiamat, you also have all the pieces for farming knights since Oberon is a pretender and he can also use black grail, now he doesn't ramp up nearly as hard as tiamat but he is an anty knights servant

As CEs go, I'd suggest poster girl, even if they're usually kept lv1 to have multiple copies. Postergirl, besides taunting, also gives a 60%-ish attack buff for three turns, effectively acting like an attack version of black grail. You do miss on the synergy with Oberon, but I believe it'd be a very effective alternative that not everyone may have, but it's there

One thing I just saw is that her Bond CE also charges the backline. That's full gauge for the whole backline in 20 turns.

About her performance in high difficulty... She's high tier pick for many reasons, from damage to her soft survival and party utility. Damage us self explanatory, Soft survival Tiamama has is low key insane. Constant healing, stun, Crit down and passive dmg cut are all great considering she does so much damage you won't have to survive more than NP and mystic code usually is enough for that, in that specific regard she's rather similar to Nero Bride as she too does amazing damage in a short time while having just enough soft survival to not care about normal attacks. Tho what makes her so good in challenging content is her absolutely broken s3 that puts her essentially on support level, her constantly healing your entire team, and charging them allows for much easier clears, especially if you use high rarity supports like Merlin, she also covers for Koyan's issues allowing her to get her NP much easier and canceling her s1 demerit. Breaking it down Tiamom's s3 is essentially permanent garden of Avalon without star regen lol

Would you be able to further explain why lots of buster ups is a bad thing? The "watering down" you mentioned, is it like diminishing returns?

Yes, it's diminishing returns. The damage calculation in FGO is multiplicative across buff types and additive within. You'd get far more value with smaller numbers on various different buffs than overloading one type; specially card-color which is oversaturated by supports.

Imagine the S3 keeping the Skill Cooldown while increasing the NP Damage duration for 3 Turns, that'd be a frickin Goddamn AoE Black Grail when done right

I really want to pull for her but her skill set is so boring. Kuku can farm any class but can't use event ce unless they themselves give you np charge.. Ugh got 2 years to ponder I guess.

That makes sense melusine buster only 20% from her np while tiamama buster up is from skill and np , and her buster is 30% at base. If tiamat doesn't have that melusine probably win cause melusine attack up and np damage is higher (40% and 30%).

@@PlushieMistress That's not true. How does Melusine have better sustained damage when she does less damage than Tiamat in both W1 and 2, and that's when holding to use Tiamat S3 twice in 3rd wave. In fact, even if Tiamat chose not to save S3 and only use it once in 3rd wave she'd still outdamage Melusine there, and her 1st and 2nd waves damage would be even more higher, which she has the flexibility to do, not restricted to the same skill sequence everytime like Melusine, and better damage across the board no matter what order you choose.

I respectfully disagree on s1 crit not actually being that good as even though yes the uptime is lackluster, it makes boss/Bosses literally unable to crit for a whole turn which combines really well with the rest of her kit like stun that wins another turn and constant healing on her absolutely broken s3 giving your whole team a lot more survival. 100% crit down for 1 turn on its own wouldn't be amazing, but since it combines with her other means of survival and has really powerful second effect in 50% battery its an amazing skill

Agreed. There are a lot of bosess/CQs which gain a shit ton of crit dmg up on things like bar break, so just pop S1 on that turn and you're safe.

what I will say is Plushie does have a point kinda sorta not really I didn't watch the video lmao the main problem with that Crit Down is its uptime if it was 50% 3 turns I'd gladly take it but being only 1 turn is a little awkward on triggerring like sure if you can forecast a break then it has huge value but it being paired with your main battery makes it weird to trigger and not what I will say though is Healing Block is very niche, so if it could be replaced by any effect then it might have a better utility but Crit Down is always good for challenging content of course farming only people wouldn't get it
